It is the same with gun laws. In my state it is a mandatory year in jail for possession of a unregistered firearm. This law is never enforced because it is mostly gang bangers that get lugged for this and it would be racist to put them in jail. Yet the democrats want to pass more laws to limit gun ownership. The majority of gun murders are committed by gang members with unregistered firearms.
