That there's no such thing as "luck" -- it's all hard work (that's the incline up to "luck"); and that it's easy to lose "luck" if you slack off, don't look where you're going, stop working so hard, etc. -- that's the incline steeply down and away.

I agree with both takes. Being lucky is never constant state, it's a burst.
Meaning you cannot count on getting lucky in life for you have no control on when and how that luck will manifest

"Beginner's luck"! Don't let early success convince you that you've earned what you've achieved lest you be reminded the hard way. Reminds me of when I first started playing online poker. I definitely had beginners luck and for the first couple weeks it seemed like all I did was win. I'm a very analytical and methodical person in just about everything I do.
