Because you could have been taunted, teased, picked on, etc when you were a kid. But then later you got a great education or you came across the right person, or you got an awesome paying job, or highly unlikely you won the lottery. All of these things make you feel great, and if you come across the people who wronged you in the past - success is the best way to make them regret what they did to you or others they did the same thing to. But be careful…be happy what has happened to you but don’t let it go to your head. Pride in oneself can be a double edged sword. Not to mention it is the deadliest of all of the 7 deadly sins.

They say happiness is the best revenge because when some people try to bring you down and insult you they are trying to make you feel unhappy but if you look happy in front of them it makes them feel like they have lost and makes them feel envious your life is happier than their life.

Cause it makes you feel better about yourself. When someone wrongs you, you feel small and unworthy. So, when you succeed, you prove to yourself that it's not the case.
