Yes, and the conclusion I usually come to is "surprisingly similar to how it is today". Other European powers would probably push to strengthen their colonial holdings after the English were booted out of the US, but it wouldn't've lasted; the only other power we even came close to war with was France, and that likely wouldn't've changed.

Not really. They would be nobodies and probably be conquered by their neighbors.
