If they know how to, then yes. Not all are lucky to have parents who know these things though.

My mom helped me to learn how to budget. Though it was never that hard. I always liked saying up my money and such.
But yeah, it's quite essential just like teaching your kids basic stuff like cleaning. Laundry and cooking - for both boys and girls.
