Are your city dangerous?

Does a lot of crime happen where you live? How do you usually prevent yourself?

I live in a major city and there’s a fair amount of crime but if you look at statistics, many of the smaller towns in my state actually have higher crime rates per capita. Sometimes I actually feel less safe when I leave the city because of that. I have a concealed carry license and I’ve taken some self-defense classes and I just try to be aware of my surroundings.

To my knowledge, yes and no.

No- because I haven't been attacked.

Yes- In my neighborhood anyways. But doesn't mean someone dies sometimes of the year so in this city. None that I care about.

The entire county gets between 0-3 murders a year. Some towns reported zero crime a couple of years ago. You might see the odd punch up in a bar, particularly in tourist season but it's rare.
