I mean... I grew up in a city, I feel like the whole “cities are dangerous” thing is way overblown by suburbanites and country folk. Did we have murders and violent crime where I lived? Yes. Other places I’ve lived, not so much, but they’re way less populated. But all that said, I was never walking around like “fuck, hope I don’t get murdered today!” Like we weren’t just running around assaulting each other lmfao. If you wanted to be in that dangerous life, it was there for you to find, and those were usually the people affected. Knuckleheads harming other knuckleheads. Mind your business and you’ll probably be alright. You see some shit escalating, leave the scene. So unless you go to NYC or LA and join a gang, I’m preeeetttttyyyyyy sure you’re safe to visit lmao. You can get your ass kicked anywhere, you know? You don’t have to come to the city for that... but if something as minor as an asskicking is that threatening to you, maybe you’re not ready for the city anyway haha. Can you get robbed? Sure, but really, just give your shit up and there’s no problem. I’ve been robbed like three times lmfao, I’m still here bro. I don’t know man, I just wish there was a way they could split the stats for “violent crime” and violent crime committed on visitors to the city who were just going about their business”, I think you’d be a lot less alarmed, is all I’m saying😂
good answer, i loled
@jemismyname people just shook to death out here, lmao🙄😂
EEEEAAARRRTTHHHHQUUUUUAAAAAAAKKKKKEEEEE
did any of your dishes fall out of the cupboard?
no?
surf's up, dude!
@jemismyname lmao
LA is such a big spread out place... i mean, if you are livin in the mountains, Malibu, or Topanga, etc... then LA is not dangerous at all, really... there is practically no crime in those places.
Santa Monica is pretty tame... most of the cities along the bay are. although, when i lived right on the beach in Santa Monica, people would break into our house and steal shit at night during the summer... I guess they just thought we were rich because we lived on the beach... :(
but people will steal your shit in most any city, so...
If you get more into the inner city, hollywood or east LA, then you are bound to see a bit more violent crime.
In the valley, san pedro, or maybe venice you are most likely to encounter stupid druggy crime (lots of hard drugs in those places, yum :? )
but i have never really felt like i was in any kind of danger in LA... unless maybe it was from breathing too much smog?
I've only ever visited NYC, but i never felt very comfortable there most of the time. it has a weird energy to me... but i would give it another try. Last time i was there, it felt ok.
I am from NYC. NYC is indeed dangerous. And I heard many things in LA. IT's just as worse.

These cities don’t come up in comparison, California is becoming more and more dangerous while New York state is becoming less dangerous…so my bet is LA

NYC is much safer than it used to be (take it from someone who grew up there in the 1970s and 80s). So LA is more dangerous, I would say.
LA is more dangerous. NYC has a bad reputation because it was so shitty in the past but it actually has a much lower crime rate than LA, Chicago, and other major U. S. cities
Both have gotten better since the 80's, I guess, but it really depends on the neighborhood.
I would say LA due to the Latino gangs
Uh excuse me, you mean Nancy Pelosi's angels? Geez, don't be so uninclusive.
I live in LA and homeless are more of an issue than latino or black gang members
@lovemedammit exactly, and if you actually talk to the homeless people many of them are actually pretty nice/interesting/fun people (although maybe on meth all the time)...
i have NEVER, EVER, ONE SINGLE TIME encountered gang violence in LA, and I have lived here since 2001
@jemismyname If a tree falls in the forest...
@pooper8g:
Do you really believe that tree, or that gang violence, or even your pooper exists at all?
What if I told you that I also used to live in Downtown Oakland where I encountered many obvious gang members many times?
And despite all the dead bodies which have been found in Lake Meritt over the years, I was not murdered gang members even a single time while I lived there?
What if I told you that whenever I walked by their gang house, they usually just waved and said "Go Raiders!!" I'm pretty sure one of them even smiled at me one time...
But yeah, you are right, all of my experiences and yours can probably be explained by quantum physics, but maybe you had the wrong metaphor, for me, that time :D
Physically? New York. Mentally? Los Angeles
I lived in both.
Los Angeles.
New York. because there's a lot more Trumptards.
Both dangerous.
You will be broke in both states
I think Los Angeles
Never been to both so I'm clueless
LA has more Mexicans and blacks
What is your point exactly? White people are just as scary if not worse. Ever heard of Jeffrey Dahmer? Ted Bundy? John Wayne Gacy?
Los Angeles
Both are insane
Los Angeles i think
I’d say LA
I think LA
