Trump is not going to prison. He will be re-elected to be president in 2024. He is already ahead in the polls and it is interesting that his trading cards which were supposed to be a joke ended up selling out the first day. I think the Republicans have realized that they have to change their strategy to deal with the new election situation. And with the House flipped I would not be surprised to see impeachment proceedings started on Joe Biden. Once it is shown that Biden is the "Big Guy" it is really not that much of a stretch.

Why else did people buy those trading cards? I don't think that any one thought it would be to make money. I bought baseball cards when I was a kid because they were cool and sometimes I could trade them with other kids. I never considered them an investment.

I don't think you are necessarily wrong about this. I certainly share your belief that almost every politician is corrupt in a serious way. It might be that the difference is that most of them are pretty quiet about it and don't make a public fuss that requires the law enforcement people to pay attention to them. Trump, unfortunately, didn't have the good judgment to do something like that.
