@Dargil He can, but by law he is entitled to have SS protection paid by the US. Did you see his flight into LaGuardia today. Trump paid for his own plane to fly him there, but it is a huge advertisement for him parked on the tarmac, plus he charged the Secret Service for their seats, and he will call it part of a campaign trip and write it off his taxes.
@DarkWinterNights I am only unhappy that more money was not spent right away to provide weapons to blow the Russians to hell!!! And that did not happen because of Trump. Trump told Hannity on the radio that he could have prevented that war. So he admitted that he could have prevented the war, but Fox edited that out because it showed that Trump was buddies with Putin but allowed him to invade Ukraine and commit lots of murderous atrocities against those people.
And I certainly do not support Trump funneling billions into the companies his buddies managed poorly.

The assumption that they'd send him to prison at all... speaks volumes of where your mind is at.
Democrats love Trump, and it riles up the useful idiots. Think of it like their stance on gun control... when they held all 3 branches they did jack shit about guns because they need that issue... they love having that issue. Simply put. They need Trump... otherwise, they become irrelevant.

The overnight polls all show a big surge in popularity for the former president. Not only among Republicans but in the general election which shows him maintaining a healthy lead over Biden if the election was held today. Since the plan to silence Trump has apparently backfired I am afraid the only move the democrats have left is to have Trump taken off the board permanently.

Comedian Joy Behar hopes Trump is the Republican candidate so that Biden will win. :-) Ron Desantis has not announced that he is running (even though it seems obvious) but is popular with enough to be competitive with Trump. If he announces his popularity is expected to improve even more.

Most polls are meaningless in that they do a nationwide 45% -45% or whatever. The simple fact is that, with the current demographic breakdown, a Democrat pretty much needs a 5% nationwide win to be reasonably sure of winning the EC against Trump. The reason is simple: Trump is despised in California, Illinois, and New York, all of which will go 2-1 to 3-1 against him. That ends with no more EC votes than if the D won 51-49, It does, however add millions of votes to the national total. Just ask Hillary how much that matters. About as much as scoring more runs in a 7 game World Series, but losing four games.

the guy will never spend a second in the slammer, can you imagine if we threatened the D. A. with a baseball bat? You would have the cops busting down ur door and dragging ur ass upstate for a long time. It's not known if the former President will be found guilty of anything, let alone something that requires jail time. Even if he is, it is doubtful that he would spend any time in prison, the security risk would be too great, even with Secret Service on duty 24/7/365.
