I cuss like a sailor, and will drop f-bombs in every other sentence, but I'll still reserve c*nt for when I'm really pissed off.

It just kinda seems like the last "real" cuss word. I don't even know why.

Words take on the meaning of how people use them. If a word that was never an insult starts being used that way, then it becomes an insult. The word cunt by itself is just a word. But it's used in a very crude, derogatory, degrading and disrespectful way. The user of the word gives it that meaning.
