Not in the least. The disease spreads because it's remarkably contagious. You can blame its creators for that, or those responsible for releasing it (deliberately or otherwise), or blame natural selection if it somehow mutated naturally (which is "explosion-at-a-junkyard-yielding-an-intact-747" levels of unlikely, but technically possible), but there's absolutely nothing that normal humans could've done to stop it spreading once it was released.

We gutted our economies, abandoned centuries of proven medical knowledge, sacrificed millions of lives over the next decade or so and impoverished hundreds of millions and still accomplished nothing; what more do you think we could DO?

They are just lucky. They still encourage an environment where people interact with each other, and this is how Covid spreads.

That doesn't sound logical to me. Babies and children are not responsible for spreading Covid since they don't understand what's happening.
Plus, there are many people who are careful and do everything they can to avoid getting sick and making others sick. The ones who are responsible in my opinion are those who don't take care of themselves and who don't believe that Covid is real and deadly.

That isn't true. The vaccine is only moderately effective. Even if 90% of the population got the vaccine, it would still be around (although probably less).

@joeldalton Evidently. Apparently "vaccines" that don't prevent disease OR transmission work better at eliminating said disease than vaccines that DO. That, or rabies, shingles, meningitis, chicken pox, and dozens of other diseases have ceased to exist.

@joeldalton In the runup to the last invasion of Iraq, the idea of war had about 50% of the public onboard. I was ten years old, and even *I* could tell it was a horribly bad idea (just HOW horrible was not yet clear, but the basic idea was obviously awful). As time passed, it became more and more clear that the opponents of the war had been correct, and more and more people started coming around- but vanishingly few of them would admit that they'd been wrong. You could show them the text messages and emails they'd sent you declaring their support openly, but they still wouldn't admit it; confessing that they'd been duped was just a bridge too far for most people. Those I'm still in contact with STILL won't admit it, twenty years on.

It's going to be the same with every aspect of Covid hysteria, I fear; in 2042, the same people who screamed at you two years ago about not wearing a mask will decry the people who did that, and steadfastly deny ever having been one of them, even if you show them video.
