Are you liberals really this fucking stupid?
12K opinions shared on Society & Politics topic. Liberals really are this fucking stupid. Recent increases in co2 have dramatically increased crop yields and the expansion of rain forests. These people know they can't "save the planet". They only want to control and impoverish you. If they were serious about this, which they are not, they would focus on China and India. I am glad we still have the Second Amendment because we will have to silence these people when they actually go to far,

Liberals don't have opinions, they are GIVEN their opinions. 17 states are now going to ban the sale of new gas cars in 12 years. Where do these morons think the electricity will come from? Last summer California told people to not charge their electric cars during certain hours.
My brother is an electrical engineer. I asked him what the difference is between a black-out and a brown-out. He said that a black-out is accidental, and a brown-out is intentional. So when there's a shortage of electricity in Cali, do you think they will shut off the power going to the poor, or Hollywood? So some poor person living in a studio apartment won't have power, but the person in the Hollywood mansion will be just fine.
No, I don't support those morons.

(AOC is a congresswoman from New York)
Have you ever seen her? She has this crazed look in her eyes, like there is accrazy woman inside of her. 👀
Apparently she has not thought this through. If people have to use electric stoves, wouldn't that over tax the power grid and cause all of us to live in constant blackouts?63 Reply- +1 y
+1 yCoal powered stoves seem so much better to liberals.
I have a gas powered stove, and will be keeping it... as Natural gas is WAY cheaper than electricity, at least around here it is.
This means libs want me to pay more to cook food. Libs are all about making things more expensive, its the hidden party motto.
13 Reply- +1 y
Nat gas will always be cheaper than resistance heating/cooking, but liberals don't care, they want you to suffer.
- +1 y
Good thing I also have a wood burning stove, can put a pan on it, and cook for free... as the wood nearby is free to collect.
- +1 y
Liberals have come after wood stoves as well they want to require catalytic converters on all wood burning stoves/furnaces.
- 2.1K opinions shared on Society & Politics topic.
+1 y"Are you liberals really this fucking stupid?"
Please don't ask that. Liberals take it as a challenge rather than a rhetorical Q.
California has already gone totally stupid with their banning of gas powered new cars by '35. Now they're adding any natural gas powered ANYTHING to their list too. That includes stoves, ovens, water heaters, furnaces, gas logs for fireplaces, outdoor gas fireplaces, etc. They're planning on adding a law that totally stops any gas pipelines to new neighborhoods. And the state of NY is working on something identical as I type this. You just know that propane and kerosene powered anything are next on their list!
The problem with all that? Neither state has any plans to add electric infrastructure. I mean NOTHING! CA already has rolling blackouts. I can't wait for them to force electric planes only to land in that state. Yeah... Liberals ARE that stupid.

And you all might have to be put down.

I have looked down the barrel of a gun before and I am not afraid of armed savages. I will stack rioters like chord wood.

Why do you think the gun pointing at you will be by your archnemesis. . . the "Black" race? Shannon Rupert might have killed by a "Black" man. . . but he was a cop. Daniel Shaver was shot by a policeman in a hallway, begging for his life. Ryan Whitaker was killed by police simply for opening his door. I can talk about dozens of supposedly law-abiding "White" folks shot, killed, or beaten by the same folks who shoot, kill, and beat up "Black" people.
But a racist like you would happily surrender his rights, as long as you felt "Black" folks were suffering also.

Ahaha! With the amount of questions and comments I have deleted I am surprised I am not banned yet. One can aspire to one day though.
But no. You are the clueless one. For one, the efficiency of gas stoves are hilariously bad at like 40 where as an induction stove as an example has up to 90%. Then we have the hilariously bad idea of running flammable gas in pipelines all around your house and neighborhood. And lastly, you mention freezing and starving to death.. what if a disaster happens and you run out of gas? Are you going to fart into your appliances? Personally I can get a solar panel or a wind turbine and function as normal, are you going to start cracking gas in your backyard? One is much easier to become self-reliant on than the other. - +1 y

@KrakenAttackin he’s dumb enough to think the government cares about his health and knows best about which stove you should have in your own house.

@joeldalton My argument was never that it was unsafe, which it is, but that its obsolete by new and better technology that "set shit on fire yo" which is literally humanities first invention and I would have hoped you had grown up from by now.
I particularly loved the argument that its SOMEHOW more accessible than bloody electricity when you can get your own electricity FROM THE SUN. But I guess, if you live in a sunless cave as an unevolved troglodyte it does impair your ability to extract electricity from the elements, and who knows how much fart gas you got around there to cook with? - +1 y
@Juxtapose Oh you got friends in Germany? Shame. I got family in Germany which means I have better anecdotal evidence than you do. Lets also not forget that I am objectively right and you are stupid.
For example:
www.reuters.com/.../
We can also look here:
www.bundesnetzagentur.de/.../start.html
Which basically says the gas storage in Germany is currently at 91.11% full.
Also, and I quote: "A gas deficit situation this winter is becoming increasingly unlikely."

- +1 y
@joeldalton I have literally not even mentioned the health and environmental hazards of the gas stove. Which again, exist and are real with scientific evidence of its damage to your health not to mention the very real chance of your house exploding.
My argument has simply been that even if we ignored all the bad stuff with gas stoves, it is still rubbish and electric stoves are just objectively better at cooking food. Furthermore I have pointed out that electricity is something you yourself can generate to increase your independence from society and also in the case of a disaster when normal services are cut off. Something that gas stoves can't do. Once you are out of gas, and there is no store to refill it for you then you are simply out of gas.
As for Germany and its politics and current situation, dont even bother bringing it up. You dont know nor do you care to find out so it would be a very empty discussion. - +1 y
@Hispanic-Cool-Guy Well, its such a shame that I am objectively right. "Men" and "Women" are just social constructs we made up and have no scientific backing.
- +1 y
@joeldalton Also, I love when you claim I am an NPC and accuse me of repeating what I am told. After all, I am pretty sure that you have never heard of the concepts and facts I post because I generally dont take the normal BORING positions. - +1 y
Men and women are social constructs?
You are officially retarded. - +1 y
@Soteris if electric stoves were objectively better, then restaurants would use them. They do not, for the most part. So you're full of shit.
These "health problems" you're fluffing about all of a sudden you didn't give a flying fuck about until the TV told you to be upset about them.
You don't post 'facts'. you post nonsense, like "gas stoves will blow up your house". - +1 y
@Hispanic-Cool-Guy Yes. They are social constructs. Deal with it.
- +1 y
- +1 y
@joeldalton Also let me remind you, I have not made the negative health consequences part of my argument, but since you KEEP FUCKING INSISTING ON IT, then why not?
First of all, the burning of gas releases dangerous fumes and particles and there is also the problem of the release of unburnt gas which is also toxic and bad for the environment. So yeah. Have fun with your respiratory diseases. - +1 y
- +1 y
@Soteris It's interesting that you should consider gas cooking and heating to be obsolete technology.
In the UK there are 2 options, electricity and gas and it is generally considered to be better to have gas, that is the more prestigious option.
Electric heating and cooking is associated with poor people.
Obviously that hasn't worked out all that well with the gas shortage, though we are generating electricity here with gas also.
I guess modern electrical systems are just as good as gas for cooking and if we were able to develop fusion power or expand our renewable energy supply then it would indeed be objectively superior to be using electricity.
Perhaps the UK is unusal in this regard, I really have no idea. - +1 y
@Guffrus This is the norm.
- +1 y
@Guffrus Well lets think about it for a moment then. Putting aside the risk of fire, the risk of gas explosions, the health risks of breathing in the pollutants of burning gas as well as the unburnt gas itself and its pollution of the food you eat etc..
What is the point of a stove? Generally you use it to heat a pan or a pot for cooking food right? What heats a pot or a pan more efficiently? Induction stoves are about twice as fast to heat up your pots and pans as gas is and it does not heat anything BUT the pots and pans AKA you can put insulation on your stove and it won't get hot so you won't burn yourself or your pets/kids if they touch it after you are done cooking.
I frankly can't see a case where gas is superior. You can get higher temperatures with Induction, you can maintain the temperature much more accurately and consistently, it is faster and it takes less energy not to mention the lack of health issues, climate change issues and other dangers associated with gas.
It is also much easier to generate your own electricity than it is generating your own gas in case of emergency or disaster. As for the prestige and social associations, that is not built upon real world performance but of peoples perception and culture which in turn is often built on either obsolete information/beliefs or might just be outright wrong. The world is slowly switching over to electric stoves the same way we always transition to a new and better technology, the fact that some countries are holding out does not change this. Just like how USA still refuses to switch away from Imperial units of measurements does not change the fact that it is obsolete and inferior. - +1 y
- +1 y
@joeldalton Yes. I was literally not talking about them up until the point you brought up the health problems as something I supposedly said FOR THE LIKE 4TH TIME. Its like you heard the argument on TV and are just parroting your talking points back at me without realizing that I did not hold the position you are trying to "debunk".
- +1 y
- +1 y
- +1 y
@joeldalton You keep going on about programming but you only ever answer to questions pushed in current media such as the case with the health problems with gas. You had literally nothing to respond to me with on my actual points which did not conform with your basic programming. Why do you people always out yourself like this?
- +1 y
- +1 y
- +1 y
@Soteris Oh sure, you can't move in the UK for all the people dropping dead from the pollution caused by gas hobs.
Quote: I frankly can't see a case where gas is superior.
Well, its pretty simple actually, its called economics. Gas has been the cheaper long term option which is why it has been the prefered choice for those who can afford to choose but perhaps that is no longer the case. - +1 y
@Guffrus Looking at recent studies it actually caused quite a bit of damage, most of it in the increase of asthma but other things too. But again, I am arguing from a technology point.
Economics is not a very straight forward thing. For example, if I used a metric fuckton of government money to install coal and water stations around the country then they would contribute to steam being a more "economical" and "cheaper" fuel source than petrol for cars simply because it is not already supported by existing infrastructure. It does not mean steam engines are ACTUALLY cheaper, only that they are being more heavily subsidized or have an unfair advantage in some other way.
As such it is easy to forget the huge investments made in gas infrastructure to make gas stoves easy and cheap to use for average people. But I digress. If and WHEN people start using electricity for their stove then it will cause a larger demand for electricity which will in turn drive a bigger investment into electrical infrastructure and generation which will then drive down price.
I live in a country without gas stoves completely. I can't even begin to count how much I would have to spend to replace my simple and easy induction stove with a gas stove. As for the cost of electricity? Quite frankly its a government problem. They can (and have) easily provide enough electricity at a bargain price if they want. But with all things being privatized, the cost is liable to explode to stupid levels for the sake of profits. - +1 y
@Juxtapose I live in Sweden. We laugh at your preconceived ideas here. It is a choice, not a limitation.
- +1 y
@Soteris Actually the economics is perfectly straight forward and you even explained why so I'm not sure how the conclusion escapes you.
Britain has gas infrastructure already (we foolishly started building it 200 years ago not having the foresight to realise that it was a complete waste of time) and it does not have the electrical capacity to turn off the gas.
It would also cost 'a metric fuckton' of money to alter this situation which explains why it hasn't happened yet seeing as electric stoves have only very recently become a viable competitor to gas. - +1 y
@Guffrus Yet you continue to suffer the negative consequences of using gas year after year as well as pay the higher costs as opposed to what electric would have been if only you made the initial investment. The saddest part perhaps being that you will be forced to change at some point and every day from here to then would have been a monument to their stubbornness constructed from everything that was lost.

- +1 y
@Soteris Yes.. we continue to use the metric fuckton of gas infrastructure that we have year after year..
What the fuck are you talking about? Do you even know at this point?
Yes, at some point we will presumably switch to electric and ideally that will be powered with fusion reactors which is why we are trying to build a fusion reactor at this very fucking moment.
Oh no, it might not work, what a waste of money.
How foolish of us to try.
What fools we were to build gas infrastructure that we were only able to make use of for 200 years.
How stubborn and backward we are. - +1 y
@Guffrus You are going to have to switch over eventually. Progress is not a process that allows you to stay unchanged so that one time cost of converting your infrastructure to produce more electricity and facilitate electrical stoves is unavoidable.
Therefore the defense of saying "It costs a lot to convert" is null and void since is unavoidable and it is going to happen regardless. That just leaves the differences between them. Such as the cost savings of using electricity rather than gas due to its efficiency or the fact that gas comes with dangers of fires/explosions and negative health problems.
You do not gain anything by waiting. You are only suffering these problems unnecessarily year after year that in reality never had to happen. This is the choice you make, not if you are going to spend some money that is always going to happen anyway. - +1 y
I mean it’s just a social contract right. $100 says you’ve sniffed your moms panties.

@joeldalton Yes he does and so do legions like him. These people are so foolish that they are dangerous. At some point we will be forced to round them up.
- +1 y
Nevermind that last post it was in responce to something you said ages ago, I am out of sequence.
Regarding your last post, yes we will have to change eventually and the timing of that is also going to be determined by economics.
I dont know if you are aware of current events in the uk or not but recently our pm decided to destroy the economy by cutting try simulatenously cut taxes and increase spending.
So I would have to point out to you that maybe, just maybe, trying to rebuild the entire energy infrastructure of the country might not be best in the middle of a crisis and already struggling economy.
Sure creating jobs could be a welcome boon but the money has to come from somewhere which means our lenders need to believe that we aren't bat shit crazy..
