Why is it that when conservatives are blamed for a problem, why are there people who say both sides are at fault?

Why do they have to bring up both sides instead of just admitting Republicans are at fault like for Jan 6th coup attempt and Donald dork trump for making it fashionable to be an open bigot against gay people and minorites and yes the majority of the blame belongs solely to Republicans ever since Jan 6th and trying to suspend the constitution, Republicans are not the party of Lincoln but the party of the southern democrats now Republicans since Nixon's southern strategy.

For a lot of issues, I think the dems and reps work together. Like with the border, it’s racism and inhumane treatment of immigrants when a Republican is in power, but when democrats get in power and continue the same policies it’s called a humanitarian crisis. Republicans lower corporate tax rates, then democrats either barely raise them or keep them the same through a tactic called Ratchet Politics where things slowly move to the right. From my perspective the Dems and Reps are just two fingers on the same hand that enrich corporations and the military while keeping us divided on social issues that don’t affect them. Like, both parties continue wars, they both treat US citizens like shit. Democrats just pay more lip service to leftist ideals, but don’t fulfill their promises.

That’s my general perspective of the whole thing.

Same reason there are people saying that when Democrats are proved to be without a doubt at fault. Some just can't handle "their side" taking heat.
