They got free cell phones too. I wouldn't want to go anywhere near the local emergency room either. The state I live in just voted to give illegal aliens free drivers licenses. I have to pay 50 bucks for mine. They are coming here for a handout. Soon they will outnumber the citizens and we will be working just to support them so they can keep voting for democrats

And as for your second point, as harsh as it may be to say, no one is entitled to the help being offered by the EU. The level of legal immigration from these countries already blows anything historically similar out of the water, and the illegal population that come along with that magnify that. These people aren't emigrating due to work or an affinity for the country or culture, and the majority have no desire to assimilate which is the bare bones requirement for immigration. These are valid concerns and have provably had negative effects in a whole slew of countries.

A far better alternative if our nations really want to do something about this, is to take all the money they are pumping into dealing with these new people in their borders and instead send it to the actual countries they originate from. Put effort into making those regions stable, so that not only do they not have to leave their home they can also live good lives there. It boggles the mind how this is seen as unrealistic, but that somehow allowing millions of a completely foreign foreign culture, religion, history, pretty much everything we value is different and somehow expect it to just work out fine.

In Africa especially the borders leave a LOT to be desired, but in the middle east I really think it's overblown as an argument. Aside from the Kurds, which are the least radical and most want to be left to themselves out of all the competing groups, the rest of arabia is largely that - arab ethnically, and Arabic speaking.

Yemen, Oman and Saudi Arabia's borders formed naturally, the gulf states are a product of Britain but (paradoxically to your argument) are the most successful of the bunch, Iraq-Syria-Lebanon were actually based off of the Ottoman provinces of the region, not some bored Europeans with a ruler and a map, and Jordan is somewhere in the middle of all of those examples. The only valid argument to be made for the West making the middle east more unstable is Britain championing the creation of Israel after WW1, but that is largely the same argument as we are making here. Jews couldn't comfortably live in Europe, so they left. The area where they ended up has been a hotspot for wars and political contention since. This is, in my mind, no different from what is happening in reverse today.

Tensions in the middle east aren't due to the same reasons as they are elsewhere, especially Europe or the Americas. It's not based on race, or even really based on ideology - its almost entirely religious in nature. And its not even like its different religions; its different denominations of the same religion. It has been 400 years since the last religious war in the west (30 years war), yet it still thrives in the middle east. This is not due to western meddling, it is a fact of the region, and it is not our burden to bear.
