I literally thought this was a joke at first, but wow, just wow, when I saw this yesterday I could not believe it. There is an MLK statue in my local park where you walk through this garden and the statue stands their sort of noble and inviting respect, but this is like, WHAT IS THIS? WHAT AM I LOOKING AT? It also doesn't help that sorry, it looks like the hands are holding a turd. I mean, several people had to have seen and approved this and this is what they went for...just why?!?

Revered by some, jeered by others, misunderstood by many? Personally, I don't know how I feel about this sculpture today, but I'm interested in what I'll think five years from now.

I guess I am used to seeing more realistic or monument style things when it comes to history. I cannot really comment a whole lot on if this is good or bad given this is very much an American historical figure.
