Are there any real ways to help people from third world countries?

I watch the ads on the tv about people suffering. My parents say that the supporting organisations advertised on tv don’t help people in these countries, like Africa. Starving families. I have barely enough for myself while unemployed but I’d like to help. How can I help?

Sending money and food is the most important things you can do for them if your worried the charity isn't legit as you should be many fake charity's exist just look at any charity a billionaire has in their will then their is a website you can find that has a list of good charity's that actually gives money to those in need I think mr. beast has one on his philanthropy channel but I'm sure how much goes to the kids and I'm not sure ok the websites name that has the list of good charity's

Join the Peace Corps. Your parents are right about sending money to these organizations. One time the head of the red cross was caught using the donations to party in limos and buy hookers. The Peace Corps will pay for everything you need.

I mean if I were you I'd start local. There are people you can help local. Later on down the line maybe you can do missionary work. But that entails more risk. I'm sure God would understand you just doing it locally.
