In the US it is about race, that's the problem. I agree parents need to step up and do their jobs. Do I think the teen's behavior was appropriate? Absolutely not. But it's not serious enough to change my mind about living in the neighborhood. In the asker's mind, one stupid kid could lead to property damage and a negative environment for his snow flakes.
