So he allegedly has classified documents that can end America as we know it...

... so posting photos of them on news sites and social media makes perfect sense.

I literally had a military secret security clearance and worked around nuclear missiles. Which is why I find this raid so patently ridiculous.

Why would it be ridiculous for them to go get the files they requested on numerous occasions? Especially after they were told there were none left?

I wasn’t aware that the National Archives had more power than the President of the United States, who has unilateral power to declassify documents at his discretion.

In other words this is just the DOJ accusing him of having classified documents, when the president can declassify anything he wants to.

I think it’s especially hilarious because nuclear codes are changed very, very frequently per protocol and there are numerous checks and people along the way before anything actually gets launched. Furthermore we have regular inspections from the Russians to monitor our nuclear stockpile and missile sites, just as we routinely monitor and audit their nuclear missile sites and stockpile. This is the basis of international nuclear arms treaties.

Yet somehow an outdated and old piece of paper in a locked room in Florida is going to bring America’s doom if it gets into the hands of who exactly?

The whole thing is absurd on soooooo many levels. 😂

I can appreciate your desperate need to talk about and defend Trump on the daily, but all we were really talking about was the fact the the FBI took pictures of what they considered to be evidence.
Some seem to think taking pictures of the evidence has some evil underlying motivation, when in reality, investigators take pictures of evidence all the time. 🤷‍♀️
If you want to scream about how Trump is entitled to take anything he wants as long as he waves his hand and declarers it all unclassified, you go ahead and find a discussion to satisfy you. There are many places here where you can praise Trump and declare your undying love for him on GaG.

I don't think anyone's going to get top secret information from a cover sheet. You see some of them are white’d out in Photoshop right? So no secret information is revealed in that photo.

The photo accompanied legal documents submitted to the court which were made public. So the photo was not intentionally leaked to the media.

All the foreign countries that were ripping off the US were getting away with it because people like Bill Clinton and George Bush were either in the tank or just did not want to upset anyone. I did not vote for Trump because I wanted to win a popularuty contest. I wanted NATO deadbeats to pay what they owe, i wanted somebody to stop the exporting of American jobs to China, I was lookin for somebody who wanted America to be energy independent and i wanted someone not to worry about popularity when dealing with the middle east.
