Why does the media say Eric Adams (mayor of New York) is conservative?

Which media outlet, and what exactly about Eric Adams is even remotely "conservative" outside of his largely toothless rhetoric about being tougher on crime than his predecessor? Does he oppose transing the kids or some other incredibly heinous belief that makes him basically Hitler?

Never seen any media outlet say he's conservative. He definitely isn't. The only thing I can think of is that progressives (far left) might see him as a conservative because their policies and ideologies are so extremist.

I have no clue who he is. But maybe this applies, while he maybe liberal in your eyes he may have views that make him more conservative.
Maybe he agree's with a lot of liberal stuff but don't support trans or likes guns or something to that extent that's conservative view. Therefore most liberals will see him as more conservative liberal.

I think because the left wing in this country at least a good portion of them have gone extreme left in their politics that someone like Mayor Adams who is more a sensible liberal appears to be conservative to the retarded extreme left wing.
