To put that number into perspective, that's only about two companies + 3 extra individuals' worth of tanks (so half a battalion plus the battalion command team). For a gleefully mediocre NATO parasite that hasn't been living up to its obligations since joining, that's a lot of tanks (the US has roughly 8000 Abrams tanks of M1A1 model or newer, with about 40% of them unused in storage). For a country at war with Russia though... Let's just say that between rushed training and crap logistics, I wouldn't be surprised if most of them leave their motorools once, and then just get abandoned or used as roadblocks as soon as they break or run out of fuel. Whatever Ukrainian tankers are over there will have experience with Soviet style tanks and they are radically different from the Abrams, Challenger, and Leopard (but switching between those three isn't much of a leap) and will need pretty much full retraining. Moving them is going to be a challenge too, since I seriously doubt anyone plans on airlifting them, so it's going to take probably months for them to actually make it to Ukraine. The Polish and German Leopards will get there much sooner.

I'd be curious to know where exactly these tanks are coming from, too. The Bradley IFVs we are sending are coming straight off the production line at BAE (according to my firsthand contact) rather than from the hundreds if not thousands out of storage for some reason. That absolutely infuriates me but our fearless leaders need to make their war profiteering money I guess...

Nope. I support 1000 tanks, not 31 tanks. Either play to win or don't play at all. 31 tanks isn't playing to win. All that does is drag it out and cause more death and destruction. Go in with overwhelming force and get it over with fast, or don't go at all.

Don't these politicians learn their fucking lesson? It's not like we haven't been through this before. Sure, at the start test to see if Russia is serious. Well, now we know they are serious. So either go in to win, or stay the hell out.

Yes. We have a surplus of military equipment we aren't using and won't need. The M1 Abrahams is outdated, and expensive. We also have thousands of f16s, F15s, f4s, F18s, A4 skyhawks and other jets we aren't ever going to use again. Start sending those too.

Dont really care, they are too few, too late to make any difference. USA sending tanks is just political support rather than material. It is to allow Germany and the rest to send THEIR tanks which are more suited and more numerous to actually make an impact not to mention it won't take like a year to arrive.
