Aside from dating a dirty one, I’ve never had an encounter with a cop and hope I never have to (at least nothing negative). Firefighters on the other hand... my roll dawgs since i was in preschool

There are literally thousands of different police forces in the USA, all with different training, standards, laws to enforce, and orders to follow.

People need to stop speaking generally of the police as if they were somehow district from your local goverment.

The police are the hand of your local & state Goverment.

To refer to them as somehow different is nutty.

Depends on who you are. If you are a legal law-abiding citizen then police are your friends. If you're not then police are your enemies.

I've seen them be both. Haven't encountered too many issues with them personally, but have seen them be a foe to others in person.
