I am French, therefore you can't accuse me of being a right-wing American patriot.
The United States of America is a nation that has accomplished great things in its history. From the Declaration of Independence to the conquest of space, to the fight for civil rights and technological innovation, the United States has been at the forefront of many advances in many areas.
Its popular culture has also had a tremendous influence around the world, from music and film to literature and art. The United States has been a beacon of freedom and opportunity for many people around the world, providing opportunity and refuge for the oppressed.
Of course, it is important to note that the United States has also experienced dark periods in its history, particularly in race relations. U. S. foreign policy has also been subject to criticism and controversy, with conflicts such as the Vietnam War and military interventions in Iraq and Afghanistan. In addition, the United States has also faced significant challenges such as rising economic inequality, the environmental crisis, and political polarization.
Note that all nations have their dark sides, and each has its strengths and weaknesses. Therefore, this is not unique to the United States.
Despite these challenges, the United States remains a resilient nation, able to overcome obstacles through innovation, creativity, and the ability to challenge itself. Despite differences of opinion, American democracy is an example of freedom and respect for individual rights, even though it has been severely tested in recent years.
In sum, the United States has a rich and complex history, with remarkable achievements and challenges. The United States has been able to adapt to changes in the world, while maintaining its innovative spirit and ability to inspire people around the world.
Do you like Americans?
Thank you we like France too!!
We will be visiting in July. Very excited!
We went to Paris for 2-3 days last year but I was sick. So we will return for mostly a week to visit Versailles.
We also visited Normandy, lisieux, and Avignon.
Not sure if we will spend more time in France this year. There will be more opportunities in the future.
We are planning to go other other parts of Europe this summer.
I hope you can come to the US.
My brother in law moved here from France for a year now. They have a baby and he got a very good job 3 weeks ago. He really loves it here. And we are all very happy for the new additions to our big family.
Hello Miss. Julie,
I just followed you. If you feel comfortable, please follow me back. I do not want to miss our communications from here.
We are planning to visit the palace of Versailles this time. We will also be traveling north and east up to the alps and Switzerland then south back to Avignon again because we met an amazing family from our air BnB stay last summer. Our children became very close friends and they will be coming to NY this summer when we return from our Europe trip.
Unfortunately, we will not be able to visit Bordeaux this time since itās on the west side. I am sure we will have the opportunity again. Will you be visiting Paris or Avignon this summer?
Indeed I have a very open and culturally diverse family and friends group. We enjoy meeting people and traveling.
I like Americans because I think usually they respect each otherās boundaries and they are very open-minded. So many Americans donāt have values in general but I talk about the ones who are well educated it can be self education too. Itās always interesting to talk to them and spend time with them. I like American lifestyle.
Its like with any country right? People to stay the fck away from and then thereās people that are cool
The United States is one of the largest and most influential countries in the world, with political, military, and pop-cultural eminence that impacts every other country on the planet in one way or anotherāand as such, the citizens of those other countries often have specific perceptions, attitudes, and feelings about Americans. The world's friendliest countries are predictably hospitable, and as a rule, tourists from the U. S. are generally welcome in most countries. Still, U. S. citizens seeking an ideal vacation spot, the best place to study abroad, or even the perfect country to immigrate to may wish to start their search with countries whose people are known to love Americans. No matter where one travels, it's essential to respect the local cultures, traditions, and people.
I do, but it's not all of them, some.
There's a lot of hard working, good valued, good condition americans, building famliies.
And there's a bunch that are overweight, eating garbage, blah blah blah...
Don't judge us by the news, it is the worst of the worst of the worst.
My family just made friends with people from another country and we visit and hang out. Find people you relate to, there's lots of good people here... in good ole' USA.
That said, we have a lot of issues as well... we lost our religion which was a drive to care for others, we lost empathy and feeling by being numbed by media, we have many broken families, we're too fat and happy and rich or too poor. We've got too many left out.
But we are free, sorta... for now... and people still want to move here!
If it wasn't the best option there wouldn't be so many people risking the deaths of their entire families to get here.

I find the ordinary citizens to be good folk when I speak with them when on holidays. Just, like anyone else. However, it would likely be in their best interest to oust the majority of their politicians to an island and start fresh, but that could be said for a number of countries.
So true, Bro!
The political and banking classes have gotten too powerful. We rose to prominence with a minimal government, and the bloated government we have now is the albatross around the necks of most citizens just trying to make it day to day.
@Sixgunsound Yup, it is similar here in Canada. We are too top heavy and it takes everyday working class citizens to keep them in the lifestyle to which they've become accustomed. Sad, really.
I dont have any problems with americans per say... but i do have a problem with the abundance of bad ideas that they tend to export.
BLM, Woke movement, identity politics, antifa, genders. The list goes on
The latest victim is Rohl Dowl book series. An absolute British classic that was bought out by an American company. Soon to be "updated for modern audiences" by removing anything modern sensitivities find offensive. Aka everything.
Dude, you live in a country where you can go to jail for insulting homosexuality. Sit this one out.
To be fair, the UK really isnāt any better in that regard
@RolandCuthbert never said the UK is perfect. But considering the US should have a lot less baggage as a very young country in terms of historical laws. You don't half make up for it with a load of junk exports that a lot of you are pretty proud of
@WhiteBoyChill we do indeed adopt a lot of those ideas but hardly started any.
If Iām being totally honest, you are the first Brit Iāve met thatās taken a stand against woke leftists.
Are there others just like you?
@WhiteBoyChill ah i can agree with that š. London is basically UK woke central though and I'm not from London (American cultural exports tend to hit there first then the rest of the country).
There's lots of non woke brits but there isn't much defence. You're pretty screwed if you're an average person with non woke views so you gotta keep it relatively private like a lot do.
The woke though are pretty loud.

@G-Daz That makes absolute nonsense.
Europe has a specific history with respect to nationalism, extremism, etc.
And most of you guys know taking that dark road will only end in your collective destruction. It is funny to see you embrace weird American racists. American racists have little or no understanding of European culture (s). They don't have any respect for or knowledge about the history of European ethnic groupings, language or history. They just have this brain dead definition of race floating around in their heads.
American racism has already explained, European culture is incompatible with its goals. It is why "White" nationalism has none of the indicators a normal culture would have.
Nah but why is America to blame for the wokeness if itās not even as big of a problem here?
I like myself and a few other US citizens. So yeah. Itās easy to choose them when they clearly understand the difference between āAmericansā and US citizens. Such a simple thing, but youāve automatically lowered yourself below most by choosing such ignorance. All while trying to decry others, many of whom have a superior understanding of language skills. Ell oh ell!
America is literally a nation of white supremacy. They donāt like black people and we are still not seen as equal today. We still donāt have equal rights today and itās already almost been half a thousand years. Itās ridiculous here.
You are SO right!
I like black people š¤š¤
Where u from
India
Would love to put a baby inside an Indian woman
You do have equal rights. Obama couldnāt have been elected unless a whole bunch of whites voted for him. Plus you have legal discrimination called affirmative action. If youāre so oppressed and miserable then officially renounce your citizenship and Iāll buy your black ass a one way ticket to Liberia.
Point of Clarification: America is NOT the ONLY country in the world with that problem!
@OP this is so true. but there are some states that treat black people with respect, they are still treated poorly by the private sector and government. alcohol stores on every corner. they don't hire someone because they have a "black sounding name" it is awful. i have seen a few white racist guys on here too. and they pretend like it is not common. i am not black but i definitely agree. i am tired of this racist country.
Buddy. Youāre a victim
What rights do other races have in the US that black people don't? I mean codified legislatively. If you can produce even one I am willing to look it up.
I honestly donāt, I know that I shouldnāt generalize but American culture is too much.
you donāt believe how much we talk trash about America.
Just an honest opinion.
Brilliant
Sadly, that is not uncommon.
America only puts trash on screens so that is what drives public perception. Just like in any country only a small portion of the population gets to be on a s reen. Unless you're the UK and need a new Dr. Who every few minutes at which point probably a quarter of the population has been a Dr. or an extraš¤£
We have great people here for the most part.
We have terrible health, economic, and political systems that stress everyone and make life very unpleasant sometimes.
Corruption is rampant at the highet levels of goverrnment and business.
Not at this point, no. I like the idea of what we once were, but our culture is just pathetic these days.
That is generally true in most of the world!
The world is in decay.
More than I like Swedes. Or Mexicans. Or Africans. Or Jews. Or the Chinese. Or Haitiansāespecially Haitians. Or Guatemalans. Or Indians. Or the English. Or the Turkish. Or the Irish. Or the Germans. Or the Welsh. Or the Afghans. Or Canadians. Or Australians.
Letās see how long it takes for my comment to be removed for being āoffensiveāābut itās perfectly fine to create a post smearing Americans.
And this is why I hate. you. all.
🌹 🌸 🌹 🌸 🖕
99% of my interaction with Americans are super positive. I love working with them. I like the small talk at the cashier, or hair salon, or coffee shop. I love talking to whoever I meet on my jog.
Great people overall.
Sure, theyāre alright. I donāt hate someone just because theyāre from a particular country. Iām not xenophobic or racist.

No. lolz
Who dat?
@Guardian45 That's my future... fat chicks and fags.
HAHAHA!! Uhhhh. WHY?
@Guardian45 They're taking over America. They care more about trans issues than general health. They should worry about that monkey pox they're giving each other.
Yes, since I am one. We have our share of malcontents just like every other country.
Yes. Love a lot about it.
would love even more if the food were better
Yes.
It is funny, over half the people cannot answer yes or no.
It's not really a yes/no question, is it? Does it mean all Americans? Then no, just like not all Germans, all Brits, all Europeans, or all people. Does it mean most? Then yes. All the ones I've met for more than a few seconds? Definitely. That includes a good portion of my own family (I have an American aunt).
I DO, I WILL PASS YOUR BORDER EVEN IF YOU TELL ME YOU WILL SHOT ME. TO BAD IS THE ATLANTIC OCEAN BETWEEN US.
Why?
My field of work is the best in USA basketball.
The USA is an extremely liberal country.
It is the strongest economy in the world.
The best universities are in the USA.
Many world-class brands started in the USA.
100% guaranteed military security and the impossibility of invasion.
Spirit of the law.
Democracy.
Modern skyscraper buildings.
CAPITALISM!!!
Are you American?
@Guardian45 No, but I would like to.
If I arrive in the USA, I want the US citizenship and unconditionally renounce the one at birth.
Where do you live?
@Guardian45 Europe
That explains it. Ok. Thank you.
There are plenty of amazing Americans. I think people might not like the more extreme Americans or the government, but America has plenty of people who are really fun.
No. Anyone who says otherwise is just being facetious.
Yes but not those in cities like Portland, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Chicago, New York, etc. I find the true Americans are those in the rural areas.
I hate the way they control the world and how their non culture has replaced my countries culture but i can't say i hate American people
I'm NOT American, but my family is; my girlfriend was; and some of my G@G friends are. I like Americans, the people.
I CANNOT say the same about their strange governments, laws or concepts.
For the most part I have no issues with the ones I have met.
Yes as they're just like any other type of people. I don't understand why they hate Indians though.
Who that has the authority and credibility to represent all of America hates Indians? I used to work public safety for a large hospital in the area and almost the entire entering class of medical residents were from India the last year that I worked at the orientation building. If Americans hated Indians I doubt that would be the case. I'm sure other people have examples as well. It would be easier to understand why you say that if you explain, however.
Half are gun-toting nut jobs that praise violence. Scary people.
That is true!
Do you like Americans?
I'm an American.. so yes. But I like everyone except afghan , and Africans
Yes, but I am very concerned about the present direction.
I love Americans, be they Canadians, damn Yankees, Mexicans, Colombians, Uruguayans, Peruvians, Guatemalans, etc.
I am one and I don't dislike myself, so yes. Also "no" isn't long enough, so if you just want one or the other make a poll.
Yes, absolutely!
Yeah, fukit. Why not? Better than the Dutch anyways. Fuckin Dutch.
Yes, but then again, I like people from every country.
Yes, I know a person that loves Americans 😂
Sorry, anonym ASS, but the answer is YES, I like the smart ones and NO, I dislike the stupid ones.
America is like Florida
nice place, horrible people
I should hope so considering I am one and live amongst them.
Yes. Its as simple as just finding people you like.
Me. My uncles are American so I like America by default.
"Yes"
Nah most of them suck, but not all
I have no reason to dislike them.
"Yes" or "No" isn't long enough for G@G.
Yes not all of them are horrible.
I like some, but not all.
I love the conservative ones
we could do without the gun nuts.
The gun nutsšš¤£š Iād named it āweaponā
I'm sorry you feel that way, friend.
Yeah, a 1911 style single action.
Not all gun enthusiasts think like he did.
@ShiftingMonke to a lot of people thats a red flag.
Having a rough or rude demeanor? No, I don't think that should be a red flag. And he doesn't speak for all of us. Why do you have such a strong stance against firearms?
@ShiftingMonke just the ones who post pictures of them holding a firearm and calling people soft for wanting more restrictions on the ability to get one.
Well, unless his photo violates a ToS, it's still just disagreeable.
What do you think will happen if you restrict access to firearms? How would you implement that, and do you think there will be no negative effects?
@ShiftingMonke what
You want to restrict someone's ability to get a gun, I'm asking why and how would you propose doing that?
@ShiftingMonke by not giving it to everyone who wants to buy one?
@chefpapichulo okay but how do you propose on deciding who gets one and who doesn't? I'm genuinely curious as well why you think it's a good idea. And just to add more- did you know that off duty police officers break more laws than citizens who possess a concealed carry permit? Statistically speaking, you're much safer around someone legally carrying a handgun than someone who isn't.
@Pterodon nice; I carried a RIA 1911 for a long time, I now run a Girsan made Beretta 92 clone. I like the.45 but I love having 18+1.
@ShiftingMonke im not a law maker and im not delusional enough to think i know the solution.
But the access to a firearm is encoded into our founding documents; it's the only amendment that says "shall not be infringed". You're willing to alter that, without being a lawmaker. More so, you seem incredibly disinterested in thinking about what the consequences of that action is; you don't know the solution. But you do know people shouldn't have them.
Do you see the dichotomy here?
@ShiftingMonke what are you saying kid. dont act like you think you know the law you delusional.
I'm not sure if you're familiar with proxy; I'm 34, and your age is listed as 31, so just to clarify that calling me 'kid' does a disservice to yourself.
I too am not a lawyer, but I am extremely familiar with the U. S. Constitution, of which I will quote:
"A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed."
That means that citizens should be allowed access to firearms. That's what I was speaking of earlier, in regards to the 'shall not be infringed'.
But you wish to change this law, and I ask why. You can't answer that, which is why I'm pushing the point. You want to have a very strong opinion that would violate the rights of millions of Americans, yet you cannot debate your reasoning behind it nor can you acknowledge any negative consequences of your desire, which I find pretty shocking. You're more than welcome to voice your opinion in a public square or forum such as this: such actions are covered under the First Amendment of which I will also provide for you:
"Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances."
So yes. You can absolutely speak your mind. But you're not free from having those ideas debated in public by others, like what I'm attempting to do now. I've not been rude or insulting, you have. I'm not attempting to take away anyone's rights, but you are. Perhaps you should reflect on what you really believe in, and why you hold such strong convictions on such matters even though you're unable to describe these convictions, nor make any reasonable effort to debate them against other ideas.
@ShiftingMonke oh my god dont post this nonsense at me. im not going to read jibberish.
I'm an American and I don't even like Americans
Lol what does this even mean? Are you American?
Yes.
Anyone worth anything.
Some of 'em

Yes,
Yes.
Honestly I find them amusing. Not likable.
