I've never heard anyone mention it. The only time I've ever heard government assistance be mentioned to me, was when a Black lady that was working as a cashier at a grocery store tried to tell me I couldn't use my credit card to buy beer. I was like what are you talking about, of course I can buy beer. I put it in the card reader, and she was shocked it was accepted and the transaction went through.
