No it's the fact that countries that were once part of the Russian sphere of influence are now turning to America. Can you imagine how it looks to the Russian status quo political order if Russians are fleeing west like refugees for jobs and a higher standard of living to former soviet states. How would it look if Ukraine because it was in nato, in the EU was doing economically better than Russia and was more militarily powerful. The Ukraine war is the last roll of the dice for Russia to be thee regional power.
It is bizzare that Russia, essentially, only admires the USA and identifies with it. It's more its sibling than an opponent.
The rest - as far as I know Russians were glad to exit the oppression by those former Soviet Republics (and India and China).
Hope America doesn't buckle under their weight (combined with the weight of the 2.5 billion people large British Commonwealth - that is itself 99.9% black).

Even just typing that to gue-in-cheek could get you arrested by the police in the UK, since it is a member of the almost 100% afro-Indian Commonwealth of Nations - and the court judge they'd throw you to would be Black, LGBT, or Indian - since the rest is progressively being made illegal. The whole 'democracy' thing is getting translated to mean AfroIndoLGBT hegemony is the wholy cow - look at it wrongly and you'll get a police file that could keep growing to say something very sinister happening to you - or you bow down to that Zod and then you can keep alive and overeat/turn into a fat pig since they'll play the 'white imperialism' card at anything from a white - and they'll actually win (look at who got elected the Prime Minister of Britain, look at who the Minister of Homeland Security/State Secretary is... you can imagine the 'secret police' are the same kinds of people).
