I think it should be illegal for someone to hold a gun in their hands as that can send the wrong message to those who see someone holding a gun in their hands. What you think?

It is “illegal” to point it at anyone. At least in most states. Which I think is more a de-escalation law in assaults. But honestly I still don’t care that much about idiots who want to walk around strapped. I care about the amount of guns out there on the streets and the easy access for minors, and domestic violence aholes. Oh and terrorists. Not sure why they’re allowed. But slippery slope. Right gang! Lol.
Open carry refers to the ability to have a pistol in its case. If a gun is in your hands, it's perfectly reasonable for someone to consider you a threat and take action against you.
In lots of places if you have a gun in your hand the cops shoot you.

The right to bear arms shall not be infringed. However it seems silly to be walking around with a rifle on a sling in public.
To me this crazy.
See the thing is I can’t be a hypocrite. The Constitution is the law of the land. I can’t just pick the parts I like and say the one I don’t do not apply.
However I think it’s silly to exercise that right in this way. I feel like if someone isn’t actively hunting or shooting, why are they carrying around a rifle on a sling? Is a pistol not adequate for self defense? It just looks ridiculous to me. Definitely not something I’d do.
I also agree what you see in that photo seems crazy.
I don't have a problem with them having a gun on a sling but to be carrying it on their hand like the dude is doing should be illegal.
Yeah, carrying a rifle around is even more absurd.
I would never walk around in public with either a rifle on a sling or worse yet in my hands. You’re asking for trouble. What if a guy holding a rifle were to walk into a store? How does the owner know he’s not there to rob the place or commit violence.
It’s one thing to have a holstered pistol. That’s just on the person and so long as it’s not in their hands it doesn’t look like there’s an immediate intent to use it. I have no issues there. This is something entirely different. It’s almost inviting problems.
If I saw some guy walking around with a rifle in his hand I’m definitely going to be concerned as to why.
No waking around holding a gun with the fallen nature and short fuse of man will end in shoot outs and surrounding collateral damage.
Your product is too much. Shot…
I think it should be legal. I think ultimately these guys you see carrying around AR15s on their back are seeking to shock and stir up contraversey, if they are mostly ignored they won't do this anymore.
Well, if you carry it that way, you're basically threatening someone and could also have an accidental discharge.
What is the sense of carrying a gun if it illegal to use it?
I carry mine in my hand sometimes so no it shouldn’t be illegal. Fucking criminals do it why can’t I?
Carrying a weapon that is visible to others should be illegal because it is simply too provocative.
I live one block from a convenience store. All the employees carry Glocks on their hips. It's not about being provocative, it's about wanting to go home alive at the end of the shift. It works, and all of the employees are as sweet as pie. Four guys where I live robbed a 7-eleven. (I knew one of the robbers) They got nervous about leaving the witness behind, so they made him get in the car. They drove him out into the woods and put a bullet in his head.
My dad taught me that if you plan on making a stand, do it right then and there. Make them shoot you on the scene with cameras and possible witnesses. NEVER get in the car. Those assholes would never have had the guts to shoot the employee on the scene. That's why they made him get in the car.
You have every right to be wrong. You shouldn't carry a weapon, but don't deny others the right to be safe.
You have the same right to be wrong as I do. The research shows that the more visible weapons are carried openly the more civil unrest occurs. If the idiot's on January 6th had not carried weapons into the capital A lot of them would not be going to trial and going to jail right now.
Of course.
