The soviet union triumphed because the German military was fighting on multiple fronts which tied down their men and resources. Germany was blockaded by sea. At the same time German industry and resources was being attacked by the British and Americans which meant fewer weapons and ammunition making it to the Eastern Front. Then there's the huge amount of weaponry, resources and ammunition that America and to a lesser extent were sending to the Russians.
So it was really all these things and the strategic loss at Stalingrad rather than a tactical loss or at operational level. At Stalingrad the wermarct lost a 3rd of all their heavy equipment, then came the loss at Kursk and after this and being unable to capture strategic oil resources in Russia the German military lost the ability to maneuver, advance, flank etc. The Russians would attack German postions, the Germans would defend like lions killing many Russians and then ammunition would run out and they'd either have to retreat or be slaughtered. Most dangerous operation an army or unit can do is to retreat as if not done right it cam lead to a slaughter.
Hitler was impatient, stretched his supply lines too far, and pushed his troops into the Soviet Union's territory at the wrong time of year without proper clothing and equipment for his troops. Plus he was fighting against too many other countries at once. He was foolish and didn't listen to some of his experienced generals.

The main reason the USSR survived is mostly cause Hitler gave up military wise and started focusing on how many jews he could kill. Without it's "head" the Nazi military scrambled about to just hold on.
Actually, the Holocaust wasn't a drain on the German war effort. To the contrary not only were the camps able to fund themselves via the seizure of Jewish property, they generated a surplus to aid the German war economy. Not to mention that having a large part of the population die relieved the food requirements of Germany and during the war, the German people were the best fed after the Americans.
The Holocaust was very much a for-profit venture.
The point is hitler gave up on the defensive to boost the already ongoing genocide. Thus its a no brainer as to why Russia survived and eventually won. If all the money and reasources were going towards killing off the Jews and not to the front lines fighting the rebellions on both sides its a no duh moment as to why USSR and France came back to full force when intially they were getting stomped out.
As to seizure of jewish property that clearly went to the astrocrats and rich millionares that were just hogging the reasources its well known that Nazi's near the end quit caring about their comrades and just started hiding caches of what they seized in places others wouldn't dare to look.
The USSR didn't "triumph" over NAZI Germany.
The Allies did.
Hitler was an idiot. He should have finished the job in Europe before taking on the Russians. His hubris was his undoing... just like his acolyte Trump.
well the nazis actually weren't so much about quality. they were still using horses for logistics.
the nazis were destined to lose. the most effective part of the nazis were their ability to blitzkrieg.
if you mean the tanks then yeah german tanks were better and they had talented tank commanders.
No, it was ALL because of diversity!
Well after Barbarossa, the Red Army introduced sensitivity training which aided in unit cohesion and made the Red Army a more effective fighting force so yeah :)
