Personally, I feel that J6ers who entered The Capitol should be executed for one or both of two reasons: 1. They made a conscious premeditative act to overthrow the authority of the United States Federal Government. 2. They are mentally defective not having adequate reasoning capabilities and/or control of their emotions. Their brains are defective. Their execution is evolution in action thus ridding our species of individuals whose continued existence is detrimental to the survival of our species.
However, I am willing to show mercy and only give them 20 years each for violating any of the following depending on the case:
Whoever, owing allegiance to the United States, levies war against them or adheres to their enemies, giving them aid and comfort within the United States or elsewhere, is guilty of treason and shall suffer death, or shall be imprisoned not less than five years and fined under this title but not less than $10,000; and shall be incapable of holding any office under the United States.
Whoever incites, sets on foot, assists, or engages in any rebellion or insurrection against the authority of the United States or the laws thereof, or gives aid or comfort thereto, shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than ten years, or both; and shall be incapable of holding any office under the United States.
If two or more persons in any State or Territory, or in any place subject to the jurisdiction of the United States, conspire to overthrow, put down, or to destroy by force the Government of the United States, or to levy war against them, or to oppose by force the authority thereof, or by force to prevent, hinder, or delay the execution of any law of the United States, or by force to seize, take, or possess any property of the United States contrary to the authority thereof, they shall each be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than twenty years, or both.

Personally, none of those states should have been readmitted fully into the union. My punishment:

After 40 years and for the next 60 years, half-representation in the House; the number of representatives allocated to your state is half of what it would be after a nominal decennial reapportionment if all states were equal. After 100 years, full representation in the House is restored.
For 36 years, no representation in the Senate. For the next 36 years, two non-voting Senators. For the next 72 years, 1 voting and 1 non-voting Senator. After 150 years, full representation in the Senate is restored.
Those rebel states should need to earn their status as equals again. One way to make them appreciate that is to induce several generations of self-reflection that what they did was wrong by not letting them be full states. Over the generations (and with the rebel generations dying off), these states can gradually be forgiven and prove themselves worthy of full statehood.

Depends on the individual, a lot was there because they thought they were taking a tourer especially the older folks. The younger folks my age were there to stop the election of joe Biden.
Given what Biden has done bankrupt our country divided our nation further then where we were on Jan 6th subjugate millions of women sex slavery I would say the people who were there to try to over turn the election were right in doing so.
I don't care about illegals, far as I'm concerned they should have no legal rights in the US until they become citizens. It isn't the kids faults though that their parents or traffickers that they hired to bring them here did so. They knew the risks and choose to do so.
Then again, Democrats have ensured that kids can't be held indefinitely while awaiting their hearing, their is a time limit so essentially separating families is a MUST because we can't let the adults out... but have to let the kids out thanks to court rulings.
A lot of this could be fixed though if they just dumped a lot more money into immigration courts, hired more judges and removed the backlog. Increase fees for coming here legally to cover it all.
Come here legally or be approved for a green card and pay fees that fund the immigration courts.
Want a immigration court hearing too, pay the legal costs associated with it.
After all if I decide I want to fight, say a speeding ticket. I am told I will have to pay the cost for the court, if I lose. It will be added to my fine and will be several thousand dollars.
I cannot support the government ripping children out of loving parents' arms and locking them in cages with no intention of reuniting their families. They may not be legal US citizens, but our country was built on immigration. So therefore, everyone deserves a chance to become a legal US citizen

Innocent children don't threaten the existence of the United States or kill people or advocate killing people. Domestic terrorists do. Domestic terrorists are an immediate threat just like cancer.
