Often sharing their lives (they just had a baby and now they want to show the world through their videos and vlogs on YouTube? ! ) Or they just got maried, divorced, bought a new car, a new house, a new job, etc etc. etc. It's always ABOUT THEM and their lives! !

Why do people get SO MUCH VALIDATION from the approval of strangers? ! I mean some people tell me on Quora NOT to do that and to try to be strong, but I just want to know!

You can do whatever you want, nobody can say you can't. If you want to post everything good that's going on in your life, then do it too. Living well is the best revenge.

However, I understand where you're coming from in the sense that most people want to post all the really cool stuff of their life not just because they're happy about their successes, but because they do want to make others jealous - but then complain about "haters" attacking them out of jealousy.

Arrogance is overconfidence with dangerous intensity levels.

I admire confidence. But the illusion of knowing it all makes the difference.

I read about this somewhere.

Suppose 100% is the actual subject knowledge.

Person A knows just 20% of it, but thinks he/she knows 80 to 90 per cent of the subject.

Person B knows just about 40 to 50 per cent of the subject and knows that he/she actually knows just about that.

The confidence level of person A will be higher than the confidence level of person B. It is all about the way you perceive things.

But unfortunately, due to the internet and AI, more specifically, polarization and bubbles get formed. These bubbles ascertain, over and over again, what people in that bubble believe. Thus leading to an exponential growth in confidence, which matures into arrogance sometime or later.

No I'm no sure you are understanding this question. It's not about however much you know, it's more about people's BEHAVIOR. You know... people who JUST had a child and now they want to announce to the WHOLE world of their new addition, even in front of people experiencing INFERTILITY! They don't care. Or take someone that just bought a new car or house. They want to AS SOON AS POSSIBLE, DISPLAY and BOAST about that new expensive $60k car and Million Dollar house. I mean, they really DON'T care that there are people who are living on the streets with hardly any shelter and food! Children starving in Africa, that type of thing. They are SELFISH! ! Not to mention VAIN and ARROGANT! ! They don't care how it makes someone feel as long as it makes THEM feel superior! ! or "BETTER" than the next person! ! It's sad! It's such a turn- off! !

Except the baby, I will talk about their ennouncenents of everything they buy.
They just want to be felt rich. You know. The glam and all.
Now, it does not matter if they are rich by taking loans and all. They just want to be rich.

This is the exact reason I gave up on becoming a rich guy and began focusing on becoming a wealthy guy.

Because a wealthy can be rich. But a rich need not necessarily be wealthy.

i couldn't give a shit unless it's watery. but most people lie on the internet. i trust about two people on the internet that i don't know in real life that i've never met. and they are more trustworthy than friends on my social media which i disavowed.

Arrogant, no. Seek validation from others? Yes. And it gets worse every year as more and more people get on social media and watch others getting validation which makes them wish they had validation and it becomes a self licking ice cream cone.

Hey that's true but I'm not perfect. I WISH I was haha. That'd be awesome. It does make me feel bad though sometimes, when I see other's with "better" lives than I do. I think it is human nature to compare. It's a natural reaction.
