In order to change that at the federal level (or ban it at the federal level), a constitutional amendment would have to be passed. Until then, it has to be treated as a state issue. It should be noted however that the fact any part of the US allows abortions up to the moment of birth and in at least two cases even during or after birth is considered barbaric by every country on the planet that isn't actively committing genocide against an undesirable demographic.
There is a right to practice religion as well as express oneself, both explicitly outlined despite being regularly trampled on.
The arguments against abortion go well beyond religious doctrine and into science/biology. The bottom line is that life verifiably begins at conception, that life is a human life, and an abortion is the conscious decision to terminate/kill that life. This is not necessarily considered murder by legal definition due to the fact abortions aren't universally considered illegal, though because it is the killing of an innocent life, it is murder by the definition of pretty much every culture and religion on the planet, in the context of the aforementioned known science. For these reasons, the only honest defense of abortion is because the mother does not want the responsibility of carrying, birthing, and raising a child (which would still be the argument anyway). At that point however, you are making the argument that one person's inconvenience invalidates another's right to life.
If the pro-abortion lobby actually cared about popular opinion or global norms, they'd be pushing for a week 12-15 limit excluding extreme circumstances requiring a doctor's recommendation, which is roughly equivalent to the states that have a "heartbeat" policy, hilariously smeared as "far right" by our media.

and yes, in know you threw the "extreme circumstances" caveat in there. when you start adding various real-life scenarios... whether tragic biological scenarios (non-viable) + rape + and/or incest... obviously they're not the norm, but how/where are these accurately accounted for & quantified to inform your opinions that should be the basis of forming legal law?
In much simpler & realistic terms that better align with reality, how/when/why are you distinguishing between "doctor's recommendation"? In other words, who outside the medical profession is qualified to define these seemingly arbitrary rules?

If a Woman has sole right to abort her pregnancy, should that free biological fathers from paying child support/maintenance if she decides to keep it?

Shit doesn't have to make sense. Mitt Romney was running for president against Obama. Mitt lost but had large evangelical Christians support but mitt was a Mormon. That evangelical thought of as devil worshiping people. And still voted for him over Obama a more traditional Christian upbringing.
They would vote for a devil worshipping republican then a Christian Democrat.
This is why trumps base is also evangelical. Top evangelical Christians fundraiser told trump to move usa's Isreal embassy to Jerusalem for the rapture to progress.
The actual end of the world. Republicans want all of us to die.
duh. a guy in the clouds told them abortion is bad.

Duh. A Shitlib with purple hair told you it’s okay to murder babies.
Which one is more ridiculous? - +1 y
Oh boy. We’ve got a sophist on our hands. It’s not a baby. It’s an embryo! It’s not murder! It’s a procedure!
Fuck off. 🙄 You people are so goddamn tiresome. - +1 y
@agagagagaga c'mon big fella. your guy donald trump gets re-elected and, upon learning of your supreme wisdom, makes you attorney general of not just murrrica but also grants you unilateral authority to each & every state on the "murdering" "babies" laws.
I gave you a basic real-life scenario. Take a quick knee, ask skybeard about it, then share your insightful comments right here for at least a few of us weirdos to learn from.
Or just cuss and rant about it. Or ignore it. Your call big fella!
Asker+1 yThis idiot is nothing but a right winging Nazi, he claimed to be a leftist who supports trump, and when I called him on it by stating you can't be a leftist who supports fascism, his true Reich wing colors came out of the closet.

wait, he supports Trump? How could I have possibly known that based on a few sentences from him that included "lib" and "f*ck"? for a minute I was intimidated by such a bright mind, but then I had the crazy idea of asking his opinion of a basic real-life scenario that might force someone to step aside from the abstract rantings.

The weirdest thing about topics like this is that... even if we give the benefit of the doubt & assume this mouth-breather is genuine in whatever God/Christian beliefs he holds that leads to him ranting about modern-day cultural issues... he goes about it in a way that is a complete 180 from Christ's approach of opening his arms, welcoming in sinners, and then changing their views/hearts with his actual message. Instead, we've got modern day "christians" who are dime-a-dozen pharisees, ranting & raving to anyone who will listen, while only putting up obstacles between those people & Christ's actual message. It's a wild thing, that they seemingly have no clue that instead of "supporting" whatever version of modern day christianity they perceive to be supporting, their actions are pushing people away at a level that would make even the pharisees of Jesus's time blush.

I’m not interested in reading your bullshit man. You’re nothing to me. And in fact you think it’s okay to kill babies. Which is kind of fucked up.
I don’t know why asking people to use birth control is some Herculean task. BUT WE GOTTA KILL THE BABIES! WE JUST GOTTA!!! BiRtH cOnTrol isn’t 100% effective!!!
Bitch, what is?
Oh you go raped? Incest? GO TAKE EMERGENCY CONTRACEPTION! Damn near every goddamn pharmacy carries it, it is very, very inexpensive, and there are NUMEROUS non-profits that will even PAY for emergency contraception like Plan B.
BUT WE JUST GOTTA KILL THE BABIES! We gotta!
Okay, so let’s ONLY do it when the life of the mother is at risk from an ectopic pregnancy for instance, or other medical necessity. FINE BY ME.
But to think some stupid cow who got knocked up because she was too dumb to take a pill or to weak to tell a man to wear a condom should be able to abort a baby NINE MONTHS LATER is fucking sick. Even the goddamn Europeans think so. Their term limit for most abortions is 12 WEEKS. TWELVE!!!
BUT WE JUST GOTTA KILL A NINE MONTH OKD! We just gotta!!!
🙄
Your arguments are crap. Take some goddamn responsibility.
Asker+1 y@Agagagagaga you are just mad your little incel self can't make any babies you low sperm count.
