Adult virgin men are much more accepted in Japan then elsewhere. do you think the rest of the world should follow their example?

Im sure a lot of you have noticed how virgin men seem to take a lot of shame for being virgins still into their adulthood. they can be thought of as losers or weird etc. Virgin women also share a stigma but typically isn't as frowned upon as it is for guys...

WELL in Japan there has been an epidemic of older virgin men that its now just become and accepted part of their society. What do you think of this?

There's this comedian over there whose name is Gunpee who is a virgin himself and has expressed it in his comedy routines.

He says virgin men are 'forgiven' in their society.

Its very common to NOT be treated badly or bullied for coming out as a virgin in their later adult lives. Some even say they are relaxed around virgin guys there.

"It shouldn't even matter in terms of your worth as a man" another guy says in the video.

Anyways i think this can spark an interesting discussion. Why not emulate this way of treating the adult virgins in other countries? Why does there have to be a stigma? lets just let people be and allow them to discover that part when they feel ready. could be when they are young or in their 30s or 40s. like who cares?

But Japanese masculinity is defined differently. I would be open to it. I mean, I don't like mocking incels. But so many blame others for their lack of sex and access to sex. We even have dudes who claim "White" guys don't get any play because "Black" guys are stealing "White" women.

It has gotten to a point where it just insanity and crazy 24/7.

I mean the first thing they have to do is to find peace with themselves and their lives. Then they have to learn to accept each other. That way society would have no choice but to become more flexible in this definition of masculinity.

But this whole violent, toxic nonsense many engage is has to stop.

I totally agree with this post as an adult age 55 years Male I want to save myself for marriage and if this doesn't happen then life will be life nothing I can do I believe in Jesus and I got to live the way he wants me to do.

There shouldn't be a stigma but there always will be because people are assholes I have family in Japan that teach in a high school and Japanese teens have just the same pressure sexually as we do in the west

well thats high school. i think its better once they are adults.

it might also depend on where you live in japan too like make its not so accepted in certain parts but others it is.

If I see a man in the street I have no idea of his sex life, you can't judge on appearance. The problem is those virgins who spout hateful shit online or expect pity.

I think this is less of a virgin/sex discussion than it is a "how do we treat people" discussion. And I think that's more foundational than at least in the United States.

Well, at least from what I noticed there only seems to be mockery online. I have yet to see people really make such a big deal about it unless they know the person and even then, it's not much of a topic of discussion or a non-issue.

I don’t know. Their govt is worried about future population numbers. But as it is, seems like Japan is overly crowded.

But I think our new gens are “off” parenting. And that’s probably a good thing.
