Are men surprised that women born in Asian countries don’t shave down there?

I was born and raised in Singapore. I don’t shave down there, because I’m not living in the US so I don’t see a need to do so. I do take care of my underarms and shape my brows but that’s the only thing I do. Don’t be surprised that Asian women living in Asian countries only shave their underarms but not their legs or down there. I know there are indeed some Asian women who shave down there but that’s rare. If an Asian woman is born and raised in the US she’s more likely to do full body shaving. I had hairy legs and guys don’t seem to care I wasn’t surprised that many women and girls don’t shave their legs. I was crushed on by guys who were the same race as me even though they knew I don’t shave my legs. I think that’s just the culture here in Asia. The reason why I didn’t wanna go to New York was because I am afraid of getting shamed for not shaving my legs. I understand that every culture is different in every country, I don’t hate the Western culture but I do get scared living in the US because of guns and the shaving standards. Please respect our Asian culture when you’re visiting countries like Singapore, Thailand, Korea or Japan. Even though the women there don’t practice full body hair removal please understand and respect it even though you may not like it. It’s kinda unfair to force Asia to follow Western culture every culture is unique and they shouldn’t be the same. Some girls and women my age do wear skimpy clothing but majority were conservative in their dressing. Many women don’t show cleavage or wear backless outfits. We are just more conservative when it comes to dressing because we don’t wanna piss off our parents.
