How do you feel about Mormons (as people) in general?

I agree with their religious beliefs quite a lot.

I find them annoying with how they go about their views.

I may not agree with their religious beliefs, but I still find them very kind and generous people.

I have no opinion of them.

On a personal basis I've never had any issues with them. They have some strange believes. They also tend to be cliquish, and well, very white and middle class. I've never had a problem with them.

Even when they go door to door, they've never been pushy. They always ask if I need help with anything. I think they are sincere in helping, and not using it as an excuse to preach. As I get older maybe I'll take them up on it some day.

The institution (church) is another matter. They are a business as much as a church. As such they should be taxed and audited like any other business.

Well, there's no sugar coating this really. A lot of them are slightly retarded. Call it ADHD, call it Asberger's, but they have something going on up there.

In general though, I've found them to be very friendly and generous, and whenever I travel to a Mormon city, they're always so eager to talk about their history, religion and culture, for free.

However, if you actually become a member of the church it's quite different. My friend was groomed during his mission, and I've heard stories of people being harassed for leaving the church.

But in general, as long as you don't bother them, they won't bother you.

Nice, but their beliefs seem based upon something that is very fragile and probably not true. One man interpreting gold plates he found, and he's the only one that could read them, to tell a story of nations long lost and how that supplements Jesus work... and then people around him determine him to be crazy and try to kill him.

They are no different than any other large religious organization. There are people within any religion that, at times, may display both positive and negative traits but that doesn't make the religion good or bad.

There are many beliefs within the Mormon church that are the similar, if not the same to other religions; there are other beliefs that are more unique. With that said, many organized religions have unique beliefs to that, when viewed from the outside, seem rather odd.

Mormons consider themselves Christian; some people outside of the religion agree while others disagree. Frankly, this is more semantics than anything else.

Overall the Mormon church is a very positive influence within every society they are involved within.

I still carry the Aaronic Priesthood. LDS, like JH are not Christians but behave like them. Trouble is, when they are at their Viewing (wake), they will be all dressed up and nowhere to go.
