Different areas have different highlights. The North East and South West have granite moorlands, a wild and windy feel to it. In the West are mountains and in the East there's fenland recovered from the sea - flat and low, icy in the winter.

Far north is the Highlands, Lochs and the outer isles.

That's my homeland.

My "adopted" country is beautiful. I live in the shadow of Table Mountain, a mile from the beach. I'm about a two hour drive from mountains and within reach of the Namib Desert.

To the East there's the Drakensberg mountain range. Totally beautiful.

It's got too much to mention it all

I feel as though a lot of things are being neglected, in the United States. Schools falling apart, bridges in disrepair, the same roads being done over and over again while the others are riddled with pot holes larger than a manhole, these are just a few things. Rather than fix anything, they paint over the sides of buildings with murals. Polishing and painting over feces is still feces.

I live in a country town just outside of Melbourne, Australia. People are super friendly and there is virtually no crime at all. The scenery is gorgeous, and the weather is ideal.
