3 kids and 3 adults were shot and killed by Audrey Elizabeth Hale. She is 28 years old. She was a former student of the elementary school she shot up. What’s going on?
The six victims of the shooting are as follows:
Evelyn Dieckhaus, 9 years old. Hallie Scruggs, 9 years old. William Kinney, 9 years old. Cynthia Peak, 61 years old. Katherine Koonce, 60 years old. Mike Hill, 61 years old.
These tragedies are the cost of having free gun ownership. I’m a gun owner myself with a concealed carry license but I’m also a realist. Mentally disturbed people and criminals are always going to get their hands on weapons as long as we have this right. There is just no way around that. It’s true that guns don’t kill, people do but we’re giving them access to an extremely efficient way to do that and the ability to quickly and easily inflict mass casualties. You can’t discern the mental state of every citizen ahead of time so these kinds of things will always be the price of the second amendment. The only question is whether or not it’s worth it to you morally and politically.
What happened to if everyone carried this shit wouldn't happen? Guns aren't allowed in schools still I guess so it's like mowing down a deer in the middle of the road.

@msc545 : One incendiary bullet won't do that. Video game incendiary bullets are too OP. In reality, a few floor tiles would get singed. Now, if the entire school were a giant log cabin, and the bullet burst into flame in the middle of dry weather, and there were lots of straw and hay inside, with plenty of airborne kindling, THEN you'd have yourself a bomb.
I've seen a man on Doomsday Preppers develop a pellet gun that is a proof-of-concept of what I'm talking about. Only the practice dummy burned up. Granted, the LA prepper guy admitted he'd made his pellets a little too efficient, since it was only supposed to ignite enough to *intimidate* an enemy, not cook them to medium rare on-the-spot!
Now, if you really wanted to bomb the school:
1. Maim, don't kill, the original shooter. 2. Tie up the shooter. 3. Pour chlorine fluoride on the shooter's body. 4. Douse the shooter with a bucket of water. 5. Wait.
You wouldn't have to wait very long, and the school would turn into the surface of Venus!
But the goal isn't to create the perfect hellfire bomb. The goal is to bring the school shooter to hell, and punish the real perp, not non-sequitur punish Farmer Bubba Joe Bob Brown in Kansas, as ChefPapi would do.
So we'd need something with a little less kick in its step. Polonium bullets take too long, but it'd be an appropriately painful way for a shooter like Hale to go out, if not for the delayed reaction. Same thing with dimethyl mercury. Takes too long.
Hale needed to be screaming every obscenity while writhing on the ground that it-thing's vocabulary could muster, all the while having a meltdown on par with Will Farrel's at the end of the first act of Talladega Nights. The trick is to use a bare minimum amount of red phosphorus coating of bullets. Too much, and you get too much fire. And don't even think of using white phosphorus!
@msc545 : Right now, the most I can do is peroxide, hand sanitizer, rubbing alcohol, steroid ointment, Neosporin, scissors, dish gloves, and some multitools. Barely even adequate for field surgery, let alone being an action hero.
We have failed our country, we stopped prioritizing the mental health facilities. We closed down more than half of them reallocated the budget to other places.
We now have people who are mentally unstable freely walking around, and our country, and our children are suffering.
We can even see signs of mentally ill politicians in office, and we don't even blink an eye, and vote for them.
We need to start addressing the mental illness in our country instead of ignoring it, or blaming it on other things

With all of the disrespect for human lives and no accountability. (Government and private) It would be difficult to point to any one thing that would prevent these shootings. When I was in high school. It was common place to walk through the student parking lot and see rifles and shotguns hanging in the back window of pickup trucks. Even guns were brought in for show and tell! No one was ever shot with any of those weapons. Fast forward to today. We have social media, with hate groups and gun free zones around schools.

I blame social media for the rash of shooings. It has been shown that social media makes people less happy and less secure. Getting fed a steady diet of critical race theory, racism, and sexual dysfunction is making young people crazy.

I imagine she probably had a tough school life or was picked on at school. I don’t know for sure but this is just my guess. It’s still not an excuse to shoot other people but it’s true a person with a happy and great life likely wouldn’t do things like this. I’m guessing she also had mental health problems as well.
I have just seen other people on other questions commenting that she identified as transgender. I think transgender people are more likely to have mental health disorders like depressed and anxiety because it’s true a lot of people mock the LGBT people.
It's awful. What else is there to think? We'll probably learn more as the investigation goes on, and have the actual practical solutions ignored for more shouting about gun control.
She was born male and I wonder if she was picked on for that growing up. Either way it doesn’t remotely justify what she did. It is horrible and I really hope we can change some things to make this world a safer place for us all esp children.

The fact is, it's pretty easy to get your hands on an illegal gun. Until the gun control nuts come up with a realistic solution to remove guns from the hands of criminals, I don't want to hear about removing guns from the hands of law abiding citizens.
