Review the facts of the case and it is just a big pile of BS. For one thing, the alleged crime happened over 7 years ago so the statute of limitations is in effect. Then the star witness is a disbarred convicted felon with a history of perjury. His former legal advisor will testify that he is lying about the payoff. Then Stormy Daniels is saying that it never happened. The democrats look even more foolish than the last 5 times they tried to indict him.
You’re welcome
It amazes me people are infatuated with trump… like who cares? All these old head politicians are corrupt, every single one of them. Why focus on trump only?
Trump represents the opposite of business as usual in politics. Yes, he is running his own scam but he is preventing the pay to play culture to operate with impunity. All the swamp creatures feel like they lost 4 years of lining their pockets because there was no way to tell what Trump was going to do next.
I voted D -- I don't know
If the NY attorney general would NOT have indicted another high profile person for the same alleged crime, then it might be a "witch hunt". I said "I don't know" because I have no clue about the biases of the NY attorney general. I'm sure a lot of people will say he is biased, but one can never know for sure.
The law is the law and should be enforced as such without interference from any personal feelings and biases.
Per the cited quotations in my reply to @Sirenboobzilla ‘s opinion, “Those [Trump-related hush money] payments had been investigated by the U. S. Attorney's Office in the Southern District of New York [and that office “opted out of charging Trump…in 2019”] and [they were also investigated] by the Federal Election Commission [which “tossed its investigation into the matter in 2021”].”
You’re welcome
Paying off a bimbo isn’t illegal, Clinton paid Paula Jones $850,000. This is a federal “record keeping” law about documentation of the payment, the New York Democrat AG has no authority on federal matters, and the statute of limitations has long since passed. This is politics at its worst just to embarrass the former president. I’m not justifying sleeping with a porn star, I’m saying there’s no crime here.
So did you vote HELL YES?

He used campaign money to pay a porn star to be quet about their "time' together. Under the Federal Election Campaign Act, that's a big no no. So I agree with his indictment. If he's so rich, why did he need Campaign money to pay her?
I will add this: I believe no one is above the law, ESPECIALLY those elected to represent us. Politicians should all be under the microscope at all times
Trump did NOT “use campaign money to pay a porn star [hush money],” Trump attorney Michael Cohen “paid Stormy Daniels out of [his] own pocket.”
www.usatoday.com/.../
“President Trump's personal attorney claims he personally paid $130,000 to Stormy Daniels, a former porn actress who allegedly had a sexual relationship with Trump in 2006.
In a statement to The New York Times, Michael Cohen said he made the payment to Daniels, whose real name is Stephanie Clifford, and was not reimbursed by the Trump campaign or the Trump organization.
“The payment to Ms. Clifford was lawful, and was not a campaign contribution or a campaign expenditure by anyone," Cohen told The Times, adding that he delivered a similar statement to the Federal Election Commission (FEC) in response to a complaint by Common Cause, a government watchdog group.
In its complaints to the Justice Department and the FEC last month, Common Cause argued that the alleged payment to Daniels likely violated federal campaign-finance laws as an unreported, in-kind donation to Trump’s campaign.”
www.usatoday.com/.../
“[Trump] Prosecutors said the purpose of the hush payments [made by Trump attorney Cohen] was to influence the 2016 election, and treated them as campaign contributions, which are subject to restrictions under the Federal Election Campaign Act.”
www.pbs.org/.../how-michael-cohen-broke-campaign-finance-law
“Hush money payments made to both McDougal and Daniels were revealed and reported by Fox News in 2018. Those payments had been investigated by the U. S. Attorney's Office in the Southern District of New York and by the Federal Election Commission.
Federal prosecutors in the Southern District of New York opted out of charging Trump related to the Stormy Daniels payment in 2019, even as Trump's former attorney Michael Cohen implicated him as part of his plea deal. The Federal Election Commission also tossed its investigation into the matter in 2021.”

I see. Thanks for correcting the info I had
You’re welcome
i am not up to date on the trump stuff but isn’t it because he used campaign money to pay off a porn star to be quiet about his affair w her when he was trying to get elected?😐😐 how does it count as a witch hunt if he broke the law? ? 😲😲🤔🤔 or what else is it about?
See my reply to @sirenboobzilla ‘s opinion.
How did you vote in the poll to this question?
oh i think the indictment was because he reimbursed his lawyer/fixer w the campaign funds tho🤷🏻♀️🤷🏻♀️ either way i don’t care that he slept w a porn star or paid her off not to tell anyone but the fact that he cheated on his wife & the mother of some of his children is pretty abhorrent😵😵😵
Trump has multi-millions, so he didn’t need campaign funds to pay the gush money.
And prosecutors previously tried to characterize the hush money as “campaign contributions,” which are “subject to restrictions under the Federal Election Campaign Act.”…

…However, “The Federal Election Commission [looked into these alleged illegal “campaign contributions” and] tossed its investigation into the matter in 2021.”

…How did you vote in the poll to this question?
Yea, I think it’s pretty obvious people want to get trump on something whether you like him or not.
I didn’t know you can delete comments. Is it cause I’m in a phone?
If you’re an Opinion Owner you can right-click on the “3 vertical dots” to the right of comments under your opinion and select “I don’t want to see this” and if you select that then they will be deleted.
(ALSO: the (Original) Question Asker to a question can also remove people’s comments by doing the above.)
Oh I see. You know I always thought it just made it where the asker wouldn’t be able to see it. I didn’t know it totally deleted it.
A great country has a fair and working justice
True, and its Justice system is “blind” and not “two-tiered”: it’s NOT lax for one side of the political aisle and overreaching for the other side.
So when do we indict President Bush for authorizing the torture of Muslims?
I mean you care about the justice system and rule of law, right?
@Agagagagaga
WE DON’T indict anyone, GRAND JURIES that are assembled indict people.
Alvin campaigned on the promise to get Trump. Alvin is a corrupt Soros DA. Alvin doesn't even go after real criminals.
Don't be stupid.
If he's done the crime, then he'll do the time. These are the same laws and systems you're claiming gives you your "freedoms".
So don't be a hypocritical bitch. If he's guilty, accept you were taken for a ride, and move on.
Lmfao
Isn't he a former president? Last I heard he was.
Sorry, I’m not sure what point you’re making.
It’s customary & respectful to refer to others who have held high office to address and identify them using their highest title — such as…
President Obama
Secretary Clinton
Ambassador Haley
Isn’t “getting” criminals sort of the whole point of the justice system?
The left has been trying to “Get Trump” since he started running for President in (I think it was) 2015.
How did you vote in the poll to this question?
Sure, higher profile cases get more attention. Why is that surprising to anyone?
I didn’t
Lol, if you think that “censorship” is the same thing as being disinterested in bullshit it’s not surprising why you have an issue with a criminal being charge for crimes they committed.
So when do they indict President Bush for authorizing torture or Muslims...
... or Obama for drone striking wedding parties and families?
I mean that’s what the justice system is for right. “Getting” criminals?
Or could it be this is the first time a president ever paid off a whore? I’d be shocked SHOCKED if another president EVER did that. 🤦♂️ 🙄🤣
@Agagagagaga Yes… that is the whole point. If there is sufficient evidence of a crime and they DON’T do something about it, that’s when there is a problem.
And no, paying off people is quite likely pretty standard practice among all politicians. But the point of paying people off is to not get caught… he got caught, for that and so much more. Now he has to pay the consequences.
They were also 30 plus additional charges to this. Its a "SEALED INDICTMENT" you can't Monday Morning Quarterback (or Tuesday) whats going on. All I know is there is gonna be hell in my town Tuesday
Which answer-option letter did you select in the poll?
(F) I believe
It is only the beginning of the end, and it will be glorious.
How did you vote in the poll to this question?
