This is what 3rd World countries might do.
It will be interesting to see how it shakes out. Obviously MAGA-World thinks he can do no wrong and shouldn’t ever be held accountable for anything, so they’ll be galvanized. But adult-in-the-room Republicans seem to be tiring of his act and starting to favor alternatives like DeSantis, they all just seem too scared of Trump-specific voters who otherwise might not even vote to say so out loud.
Trump isn’t as funny as his base seems to think he is, but he at least puts on the act of an insult comic. He’s a bully, and they keep feeding him nerds. Ted Cruz, Rand Paul, DeSantis…. all nerds with weak charisma. And Trump is a bully, kind of a stupid one with dumb jokes and dumber nicknames, but a bully nonetheless, and he just eats all of these dorks alive in front of a live studio audience, and that’s speaking his base’s precise language, so they’re just enamored by it. “Smells Like Mean Spirit”🤘😂
What could be real interesting is if Trump doesn’t get the Republican nomination and he decides to run as an Independent, which would obviously split the right wing vote, or maybe even if Liz Cheney or some other right-leaning candidate ran against Trump as an Independent, if he was the Republican nominee.
And if more indictments come down, who knows, because this case would be the least of Trump’s worries. Plus court scheduling is never prompt, it’s always like 6 months to a year before a trial even gets going. He might be fighting charges throughout his whole campaign, and then if he’s found guilty in a court of law by a jury of his peers, when you can’t just cry “political witch hunt” anymore, that’s even more turmoil. Trump is a wealthy elite, and wealthy elites don’t tend to see the inside of prison cells in this country, so I feel like he’ll evade doing time, but if I’m wrong…. can he be the president from prison? I’m not sure there’s even anything disallowing that, not that I know of, anyway, but man, that would be wild😂
Yes, you can run for President if you're indicted, convicted, or even if you're in jail. Lindsay Graham lost his mind again on TV predicting a Trump nomination and now a win DUE to the indictments. He doesn't realize that being indicted and/or convicted is NOT going to make anyone who wasn't going to vote for him suddenly for sorry for the guy and change his mind!
A conservative running as an independent hands the election to the Democrats. No thanks!
1. The Democrats have just proven that they are even more stupid than we estimated, and they have guaranteed Trump will be elected in 2024.
2. Why should ANYONE trust the justice system, or the FBI, when they have been openly converted into Special Operations units of the Democrat Party?
It’s incredible. They just made him even MORE popular while completely shredding what little faith people have left in an already corrupt justice system.
Thanks for MHO!
i think there will be a backlash on both sides... being the 1st president arrested in 230 years or so comes across as vandicative... before he was actually serving as president he was being impeached... he was accused of pissing on russian girls in a hotel room then other russian violations... then he was impeached again for a phone call which had substance to the truth... then covid came out which you may believe the democrates had something to do with it if you look at insider trading and who they were... now this... a fat pornstar from long ago... who is likely not violated... i hope disbarement happens as a ramification of this... biden has been accused or proven to have taken 10's of millions of dollars but still walks around scott free and will continue to do so because everyone knows they won't touch him or his son... as he sells artwork to china that my ass can do a better job of producing... america has now officially become a banana republic.
LOL He's the first President to pull the shit he did in 230 years, so just because it's never happened is irrelevant. When Nixon and Agnew got caught lying like they did, they had the decency to resign. Trump HAS no decency, nor do the moron Republican Senators rushing to his aid in Congress.
By the way, his phone call to the Ukraine President was an attempt to withhold funds granted them by Congress in exchange for political dirt on an opponent, or are you too ignorant to realize that and think it was about ANYTHING else? It was a criminal act, just like the call to Georgia, or do you doubt that too?
If Biden is found to be guilty, I'll call for him to be prosecuted too. Neither man is above the law, though in Trump's mind, he is. You point at the possible bad actions of others not yet being investigated as some sort of JUSTIFICATION for ignoring the criminal acts of others that have real evidence and testimony to verify it. Nice deflection, just more Trumper and Republicrunt bullshit.
@loveslongnails ok the only thing is the democrates lied and falsifed records... and have dual law systems... trump never peed on russian girls... trump never did a criminal act with the telephone call to zelensky... the democrates unleashed covid to the world as there's evidence they paid china labs.
"trump never peed on russian girls... " - This is truly irrelevant. Of all the things he's done, who cares?
trump never did a criminal act with the telephone call to zelensky... - If that's what you think, you ignorant of the law, and ignorance is no excuse. He sure as shit committed a crime, in plain sight.
" the democrates unleashed covid to the world as there's evidence they paid china labs." -- Ok fringy, let's see the evidence. Have you been listening to the pillow guy? LOL
Statements like that just show you're incapable of critical thought.
@loveslongnails you are you just denied everything... you watch too much msnbc and joy reid your a low iq'd person who doesn't know the consititution or laws... go back into your hole
There's nothing to deny here, and who do you watch? ADMITTED LIARS like Fox News? Newsmax? You know absolutely shit about the Constitution OR law, and you prove it by opening your mouth and supporting Trump.
Here's what surrounds your hero: The following people in his cadre has been arrested, charged with criminal activity, and either served time or been pardoned/had sentences commuted by his your idiot.
1. Steve Bannon: 2020 for a fundraising scam tied to raising dollars to build Trump’s much bally-hooed border wall. The allegation, which Bannon has denied, was that he and others involved in the We Build The Wall group used money raised to pay for lavish personal expenses.
2. Tom Barrack: Barrack was charged on seven counts in 2021. .
3. Elliott Broidy: Broidy, a top fundraiser for Trump’s 2016 presidential campaign, pleaded GUILTY in October 2020 to conducted a secret lobbying campaign in exchange for millions of dollars.
4. Michael Cohen: The one-time fixer for Trump, Cohen was sentenced to three years in prison for a series of crimes, most notably secret hush-money payments made during the final months of the 2016 presidential campaign to two women alleging affairs with Trump. The sentencing judge said that Cohen had pleaded guilty to “a veritable smorgasbord” of crimes. Cohen turned informant on Trump and, in sworn testimony in front of Congress in 2019, Cohen called Trump “a racist,” “a conman” and “a cheat” – and insisted that the president was fully aware of the hush-money payments.
5. Michael Flynn: Flynn spent a brief stint as Trump’s national security adviser before being forced to resign after he failed to disclose the depth and breadth of his contacts with Russian officials during the transition. Later that year, Flynn admitted that he had lied to the FBI about his contact with Russia and had also done work for Turkey as an unauthorized lobbyist. In early 2020, Flynn and his legal team sought to have his conviction overturned. That effort was rendered moot when Trump pardoned him in November 2020.
6. Rick Gates: Gates, deputy to the campaign chairman of Trump’s 2016 campaign, pleaded guilty to aiding and abetting Paul Manafort in concealing $75 million in foreign bank accounts. Gates turned informant for the government as part of the broader probe into Russian meddling in the 2016 election, and was sentenced to 45 days in jail.
7. Paul Manafort: Trump’s campaign manager for part of the 2016 presidential campaign, Manafort pleaded guilty in 2018 to on count of conspiracy against the US and one count of conspiracy to obstruct justice due to attempts to tamper with witnesses – and agreed to cooperate with the ongoing Russia probe. Manafort was sentenced to 47 months in prison in 2019. Trump pardoned Manafort, who wound up serving just under two years in prison, in the final weeks of his presidency.
8. George Nader: An informal foreign policy adviser to Trump’s 2016 campaign, Nader cooperated heavily with special counsel Robert Mueller’s probe into Russian interference in the 2016 election. In early 2020, he pleaded guilty to two counts of sex crimes involving minors.
9. George Papadopoulos: Papadopoulos, a relatively junior adviser to Trump’s campaign, was sentenced to 12 days in prison for lying to investigators about his contacts with individuals tied to Russia. Papadopoulos was defiant about his innocence; “The truth will all be out,” he tweeted the night before reporting to prison. “Not even a prison sentence can stop that momentum.” Trump pardoned Papadopoulos in December 2020.
10. Roger Stone: Stone spent years advising Trump although he was only formally affiliated with the 2016 campaign very briefly. He was convicted in November 2019 for lying to Congress and threatening a witness regarding his efforts for Trump’s campaign. According to the judge, Stone’s actions “led to an inaccurate, incorrect and incomplete report” from the House on Russia, WikiLeaks and the Trump campaign. Stone, and stop me if you’ve heard this one before, was pardoned by Trump in December 2020.
11. Allen Weisselberg: Earlier this month, the longtime chief financial officer for the Trump Organization was charged with tax crimes tied to perks he was given in lieu of salary. “All told, the indictment alleged, Weisselberg evaded taxes on $1.76 million in income over a period beginning in 2005 and concealed for years that he was a resident of New York City, thereby avoiding paying city income taxes,” wrote CNN”s Erica Orden, Kara Scannell and Sonia Moghe. Weisselberg pleaded not guilty. The Trump Organization, which was also indicted and has pleaded not guilty, called the Weisselberg a “pawn in a scorched-earth attempt to harm the former president.”
Let's talk about low, or no IQ, and I'll keep it simple for you because you're stupid. I posted the short list of all of Trump's associates who have SO FAR been party to crimes. They include everything from a disgraced General to a fucking pedophile, liars ALL.
These are his people, those he chose and would continue to chose. YOU are his supporter, which means you blindly yes "Yes, my Lord Trump.. whatever you say, Lord Trump". You do not have ability to think critically. You support the man who supported this criminals.
For this reason, you are the weakest link, and an idiot. Now go worship your new favorite fascist in Florida.
The claim right now is 30 counts of business fraud.
Once the charges are officially released we will see if they were legit. But i think everyone if accused of a crime should be investigated.
So now when the trial begins and the evidence is presented we will know for sure.
But any opinion prior to hearing the trial will be nothing more than a guess.

Yep. Every frivolous attack the state levies against him basically energizes his popularity. He was pretty much neck and neck with DeSantis until this crap started, and now he's pulling ahead.
This is intentional, by the way. The Democrats and professional loser-Republicans want to run Trump because they believe he'll be easier to beat than DeSantis.
If I were a dem strategist, I'd be doing it a bit differently, but so far, this is exactly how it's playing out. At this point, the nomination and the election itself is almost entirely in Trump's court, and his rivals and enemies are counting on him doing something stupid, because otherwise this is a really desperate hail Mary.
I will forgive your blindness for not realizing that any charges against him by the State of NY relating to tax fraud or criminal business practices do not qualify as frivolous. I suspect they will make the case as they stated - that it's been going on for years prior to his Presidency. Those charges are about "The Trump Organization", the business entity, which he tried to argue doesn't really exist. LOL
Trump is, and has always been, a pathological liar whether it's in business or as President. This is not news to any intelligent person. But because he's wealthy, he's wriggle out of a lot of things in the past and settled out of court on many more. That always him to say there was no admission of guilt, but that doesn't mean he was innocent. Trump University was a perfect example.
Anyway, I disagree that his prosecutions will energize anyone new to join his camp of fools. Maga-dolts will always be there no matter what, but they're not making any new friends. The most hilarious thing I've seen in years was last night when some pathetic Republicans were practically in TEARS over his indictment... for TAX FRAUD, nothing YET to do with his Presidency! LOL It was Oscar nomination quality! LOL
Political advantage? Hmmm... so you don't think Trump the State of NY has legit evidence of tax fraud and other business related crimes? LOL You think Trump has "done nothing wrong", but rather it was his attorneys, accountants and associates who acted on their own, not on his behalf? Everyone around him just "ends up in jail" for no reason other than they're all acting on their OWN behalf?
This isn't political, it's being held accountable for criminal actions. I'd wager that a number of his former insiders are ready to turn states evidence in exchange for immunity, but we'll see. Whatever shit falls on Trump, he deserves for it's all his own doing. Even if he wriggles out of this one, to believe to he's never, ever committed crimes is about as ignorant as believing he's never, ever lied about anything.
... sorry about the typo in the beginning.. delete "Trump"
The man is a fucking menace!! He's dangerous and selfish.
@Jennz6 Biden is far more impeachable and a war criminal. But Trump is Orange Hitler... as @LovingJo is demonstrating. He’s a PsYcOpAtH... and not the career politician who has spent 50 years in office enriching himself and his family. Trump was already a billionaire. He didn’t need to run for office. Certainly not for financial gain. But somehow, the guy who GOT rich while in politics is LESS CORRUPT than a man who was born rich who just ran for office once.
It’s almost like he actually cares about America.
“This is what 3rd World countries might do.” They charge you with a crime, allow you a lawyer of your choice, allow cross examination of witnesses and allow you to mount a defence that you can present to a jury?
Justice done this way is 3rd World quality?
What process do you think would work better?
I think this is a test run for Georgia. Letting NY have him first on less serious charges will let them see how much trouble his wacko supporters cause and what to prepare for security wise. He probably won’t do any time on these charges. Georgia is probably going to imprison him though.
I was young and naive once too. But I was never stupid.
@Agagagagaga You mean you were never self aware of it.
He’s just monologuing on forums now. He’s reached a new level.
@ChefPapiChulo I know. The Trump cult is getting desperate now because the end is near. They’ll be lashing out even more on here. They like to mirror Trump’s behavior.
At this point it honestly wouldn't surprise me. Trump should have been indicted sooner instead of close to election. Is it possible, this is Democrats way of making Trump look good to Republicans so he gas the edge against Ron DeSantis in the Republican primary?
This indictment is, to me, a clear overreach and stinks of a politically motivated indictment of the opposition. I am no expert on New York law, but from everything I've read this should be a misdemeanor at best. Since it occurred in 2016 and Trump's official residence was New York till September 2019, the two year SOL seems to have expired. I would not be surprised to see the judge kick this at summary. And I actually expect the indictment to backfire on the D's.
It's an extremely bad precedent for both parties and Alvin Brag just assured Trump will be elected. This is obviously weaponizing the legal system.
I don't think this is going to have the result they're hoping for. It's absolutely politically motivated.
It is interesting to note that as soon as Trump announced he was running in 2024 this BS started. When he came out ahead in all the national polls the democrats started to get desperate.
OF COURSE it is!! When you're trying to arrest someone for crimes they never committed, WHAT ELSE could it be?
So Trump's fixer Michael Cohen went to jail for the very same crime... why? Out of boredom?
@DryGermanGuy What crime was that?
"Cohen officially surrendered to the FBI on August 21, 2018. That afternoon, Cohen pleaded guilty to eight criminal charges: five counts of tax evasion, one count of making false statements to a financial institution, one count of willfully causing an unlawful corporate contribution, and one count of making an excessive campaign contribution at the request of a candidate (Trump) for the "principal purpose of influencing [the] election"."
[...]
"The New York Times reported on August 22, 2018, that Cohen court documents revealed that two senior Trump Organization executives were also involved in the hush money payments, and that Cohen "coordinated with one or more members of the campaign, including through meetings and phone calls" about the payments."
en.wikipedia.org/.../Michael_Cohen_(lawyer)
@DryGermanGuy In the meantime, IF Trump gave money to her to keep quiet, he did it with HIS money and NOT the campaign money, he did it BEFORE he was President and we have a letter from her saying that she NEVER fucked him in the first place!! If he actually DID fuck her, I guess he should've waited `til he WAS President and then fucked her IN the White House and we wouldn't HAVE any of this chicken shit nonsense!! AND, there's a thing in this country called, The Statute Of Limitations which has LONG since expired in this particular case!
Seems likely as its so weak and I'm sure he can find something better
Could be. I don't keep up with politics. Usually when something big is happening with someone high in the government, there's a school shooting the next day.
That's what you get when you politicize the judiciary. Probably safer not to break the law. The hush money was wasted anyway.
naw, that's mostly liberal media propaganda.
Republicans summed up in one picture ^
its because he broke the law. nothing more nothing less.
How can it benefit him when he is being charged with a crime? It doesn't make sense..
No it's not for political advantage. He's been doing a lot of things and getting away Scott free. It's about time somebody spanked him
It’s going to give the Republicans a huge advantage
