How does it work? Can he come back once the maximum time he can be president has elapsed without him being in office? Because at the end of this term, it will be 2 terms since he was president.

I think he still has gas left in the tank. Much more than Trump and especially more than Biden. Even if he served 4 more terms, he still wouldn't be as old as Biden is now.

Presumably it is because you have no idea that during his time US presidents gained the power to designate anyone an enemy of the state, allowing them to detain anyone indefinitely without ever charging them with a crime or providing any evidence of any wrong doing.

This includes US citizens.

What we really need are term limits for Congress and the Senate, as well as for appointed bureaucrats.

No, thanks to FDR and his 4 terms, which prompted the 22nd Amendment to the US Constitution, no one can be elected to more than 2 terms as President, and Obama has already done that. Besides, do you really think he'd want to do that? He's enjoying his retirement.

What member of Congress is going to vote to limit their own term? That’s why we don’t have it. Besides, we could vote out our Congressman or Senator in any given election but people choose not to. The truth is, most people like the same old same old.

Nope. Thanks to Twenty-second Amendment to the United States Constitution, which to me isn't going far enough. For real change and progress, we need to have term limits to the House and Senate as that's an extremely biased use of law. Here we have people that are in power for decades.
