It's very expensive being poor and fairly cheap being rich.

What i mean it's expensive being broke, can't afford healthier food you get diabetes. Can't afford a decent bed have a fucked up back and can't work. Can't afford your own funeral when you die your children pay for it. Can't afford a lawyer for probate the children get shaken down for parents dedt.

Being rich is also very cheap. Whole sale prices and near zero intrest on loans and what ever tax you have just buy a private goods you want and have it as a tax return. On top of that the richest people get the largest free handouts. A tweet about how great your new smartphone while using another phone competitor gets you paid and more eye balls on the next promotion.

You gotta get lucky and get a ball rolling. It's not impossible but surely not a choice in as it's a viable option with every person with avaliable agency.

In the United States yes being poor in a choice. It’s quickly becoming not a choice since the Democratic Party wants equal outcome which mean we will all just end up poor. In other countries where there massive government overreach like Venezuela being poor is not a choice poverty is forced on you by your own government

So if a hospital bills you 200.000 dollars for your heart attack or cancer treatment and that wipes out all your savings and then some, IT WAS A CHOICE?

@DryGermanGuy in the United States yes, You should have enough to pay for your medical care or your company medical insurance helps pay for treatment cancer treatments and heart attacks. The insurance company takes most of the cost away so you’re only left with a $20,000 bill.

Also, you kind of chose to have a heart attack. You either work yourself way too hard without taking a vacation the week or 2 you don’t have a healthy outlets to destress yourself. Like going out with your wife playing with the kids eating habits etc. yeah I would say in the United States poverty is a choice. Even if Joe Biden gets reelected, poverty is a choice because we chose a president that will plunge us into poverty

It's not always a choice - it depends where you live, who you know, how healthy you are, and how smart you are.

    If we’re talking US, absolutely.

Right now, if you have basic sense, an IQ above 90, some basic working experience, and you’re willing to work, and work HARD, in a few years you can be making $100 grand EASY. I know. I did it myself.

No its the default position. Nobody that's poor would choose to be poor. They're stuck that way.
