Is poverty a choice in the western world?

When someone makes wrong choices that cause poverty then this is a choice. A man knocks up a 16 year old girl and is a dead beat dad then this is a choice. A person who is at a party who wants to try drugs and get's hooked the first initial inclination to any smart person would be out right refuse the drugs. However if you get hooked because you chose to try drugs then this is a choice and poverty is a choice. A man or woman who chooses not to work is saying that poverty is a choice.

An abled and capable working human who chooses to live on the system rather than work this is poverty and it is a choice.

I make 6 figures and I have seen many poor people leave home work their asses off and become very successful people. I do admit most people are not smart and cannot grasp in area's where money can be made.

there are farmers in asia who have the intelligence and skill to make it but they choose to stay in the fields and be poor.

Same for africa there are countries that have actively pushed out "White science" like botany and are suffering from it.

Its all a choice around the world.

Sometimes people's circumstances keep then in a cycle of poverty that they cannot climb out of but most of the time if you work hard you could at least live above the poverty level.

No, in most cases people are born into poverty and will never escape it.

If given the option and the opportunity to escape it I don't think they would want to get out of poverty. Poverty is a way of life just like prison inmates who spend a lot of time behind bars they don't know how to operate in the real world.

Not necessarily. Several factors can be at play why someone is poor. To give you a few examples.

#1: Serious health problems.
#2: Low intellectual capacity.
#3: Taking care of a loved one who is seriously sick and needs help.

almost always, yes. the older you get, if you are still poor, the more committed you are to staying poor.
