No it won't. First of all, conservatives dont really care about Bud Light supporting transgender or whatever. How do I know this? Because they have been doing this for a VERY long time but its just recently that it suddenly became an issue. This has nothing to do with Bud Light and all to do with the Conservatives just starting another political campaign where they pretend to be outraged about a new thing for a few months.

Secondly, you live in USA. A country that promotes big business as it crushes small businesses. A start up has no chance to topple the industry unless they invent a new revolutionary way to do things. Creating a competitor to Bud Light to try exploit the temporary hate movement against it is just a failed grab for money that won't go anywhere. Its just a bad business proposition quite frankly. Especially since Bud Light decided to support these causes because it made them more money so doing the opposite is literally just undermining your business potential.

If you want an example of how ruthless big business is, consider that even with the technological head-start that Tesla had in electric cars they are still being absolutely demolished by BMW, Nissan etc.. who has far deeper pockets, and more importantly, far deeper industry experience and infrastructure. Tesla is going to get wiped in the future as these monolithic corporations catches up and leaves Tesla in the dust with relative ease.

And you think some random smock can start his own beer and take down Bud Light? Behave.

I highly doubt it. Bud Light is one brand of a behemoth, it's a boycott I can support wholeheartedly as I never bought any of their products anyway, we have so many massive local breweries down here.

Anyway, the view that this will fade out to other headline news items in a few months, and that their brand will move again, even if it takes a hit is one I agree with.

Like how hard is it for them to simply print a different label and sell it through their existing logistics chain?

Budweiser had declared it's disdain for "real" women (and men). I hope it goes bankrupt. And hope all other brands learn a lesson from it.


I think it's funny how the media tries to spin this as a tantrum by "conservatives" when it actually signals disgust by people who respect women.

This Boycott will not fail, because Anheuser-Busch let the marketing VP mess around with something that ORDINARY PEOPLE cared about and those PEOPLE took the only action that would have any effect, they stopped buying Bud Light, and they will continue to do so.
Especially after the 'none apology - apology' put out by Anheuser-Busch CEO, this Boycott will continue because it has nothing to do with politics but with the marketing VP disrespecting the customers. If the Anheuser-Busch CEO cannot see that then he's in the wrong job.

As someone who is for prohibition of alcoholic drinks, and views trans people as mentally ill, and is not conservative, this is a bit like watching people argue over what color to dye the poop that they all want to wear as a hat.

Alcohol ruins people's health, who cares how it's advertized?

As for the free market, that seems lost atm for most products, I'm unsure if it will return in my lifetime. It has it's merits and it's drawbacks, but then so does intellectual property.

Why would a company that survived this long commit corporate suicide if they didn't see some profit in it somehow? They've lost billions abd aren't backing down, they have to be recovering those losses somehow.

Companies do corporate suicide all the time, they spend millions on advertizing, and often go under because of it. It's like watching compulsive gamblers.
