Why are they interfering in the market place when all the corps want to do is signal price transparency to potential consumers?

The company is a private business and has its right to handle their business the way they see fit, weren’t Pro Capitalist Conservatives once the champions of ‘Laissez faire’?

Bottomline we know tariffs are a tax imposed on either imports or exports, though Trump’s tariffs are a specific one aimed at imports.
To go step by step, we need to understand that imports is held by an import company. Therefore as a tariff hurts the import company’s bottomline to import the goods of the businesses wanting to do business in America.
They are then incentivized to raise prices of businesses to import their goods so, that it doesn’t hurt the import company’s bottomline.

After which, the businesses levy retaliatory raise of taxes onto consumers via price increases so the consumer will no doubt pay more ($) for less (quantity of said good).

Amazon, Apple, and other companies should have a right to shine these harsh realities onto their consumer base to allow them to think for themselves as to how to navigate this mess further. I will say consumer confidence is at an all time low and consumers are prioritizing needs (essentials) over wants (aren’t essential). When there is more money around, the consumer will buy more though when there is less money going around, the consumer spends less. Our economy is going to be rocky.

I would love to see every step of the handling fees, profits and mark ups of consumer goods! For example farmers. They get paid peanuts for their produce. While the “Middle men” make huge profits.

I say prices should be broken down from mark-up, production cost (could be variable but a % at least), package, transport, tax and TARIFF so we can see which retailers are taking the piss with prices.

I'm not worried about tariffs. I've put up with price increases since the democrats fraudulently stole the election in 2020. I'm just happy that things are returning to normal.
