I'd say rebellion is a little too far. It's a two way street there. Brady bill was a federal law that targeted firearms, and states worked against that, then in large scale set up trigger laws that would be "rebellion" in case anything like that passed again once it sunsetted.

I mean, if Texas or Florida sheltered a company that started making belt fed machine guns on the opposite end of the spectrum to states that make unregistered weapons a felony, I don't view either as rebellion, but how they choose to live. If one state attacked another state for it's stance, that would be where it becomes rebellion.

You mean like how politicians in NY CA IL etc campaign against the pro gun policies of other states for domestic credibility?

Indeed, I argue that it's the permanent federal institutes that tip the balance more so than states looking to make a contrast. What NY and Cali want to do doesn't affect me, even if I'm taking a trip though there. When they make changes to the ATF, or IRS, it doesn't end with that PR stunt as the change stays.
Both sides push those changes and agendas through fear, so I don't look at either one being better than the other there. You can choose which state to live in. Moving to a different country isn't so easy.

As per the tenth Amendment, no- not on immigration, at least; the Constitution says almost nothing about that. Guns are a less dubious proposition; "shall not be infringed" is pretty damn clear.

The real telling point, however, is marijuana- decriminalization is simply saying "We know this is the law, but we're not going to enforce it", which is setting a horrifying precedent; some anti-drug zealot takes the White House, and every last employee of that industry could be arrested on tax charges.

It depends on which federal government you're talking about, the constitutional government of the United States of America or the UNITED STATES of AMERICA corporation of Washington DC.

The Constitution governs the United States of America. Beyond that, all other rights are reserved to the states. The Second Amendment is the only thing mentioned about firearms in the Constitution. And the Constitution says nothing about immigration.

The UNITED STATES of AMERICA corporation of Washington DC technically only has jurisdiction over Washington DC, but it is used to pass unconstitutional laws.

I think so, but this is something that has always confused me about the U. S. and I've struggled to understand. And it's that, technically, Federal laws are superior to State laws, but states can still pass laws that conflict with federal laws. I understand it for state agencies, but I read for example that even if marijuana is legal in California, the FEDERAL government can still arrest and prosecute you for marijuana, and THAT'S the part that confuses me.

They would lose federal funding and go broke overnight with just the interstate costs. Then all the people needing federal help (mostly hospitals and state governmentsworkers) will riot and oust the state leadership.

I mean anything other than the 4473 background check, full stop. No government harassment, no need to purchase or renew state permission, nothing else but the federal background check. Words kill too, and until people need to start purchasing speaking permits (that don't cross state lines, and you can't use in government buildings or take on a plane) with safe storage laws and red flag laws that could get their voices revoked, I don't see why this constitutional right gets more scrutinyband hostility than any other.
