Far too many horses have died over the years on it, this year's meeting saw three deaths. The average death rate in racing is 0.2% in the grand national its 1.3% (until recently it was over 3%)
I wouldn't say ban it but it needs a good overhaul of its welfare standards.
The Grand National is a National Hunt horse race held annually at Aintree Racecourse, Aintree, Merseyside, England. First run in 1839, it is a handicap steeplechase over an official distance of about 4 miles and 2½ furlongs (4 miles 514 yards (6.907 km)), with horses jumping 30 fences over two laps. It's what the royal family attend, celebrities, politicians etc. It's a high society occasion but reglar people attended and bet as well.
This was meant to be a reply lol. I hate u can't delete comments on here 😂
No, the horses are treated better than most people
Liberals want it banned for whatever reason
The locals love it and looking at yesterday's antics they handle security next year, see some chunks of Tarquin floating down the Mersey
