Cleopatra was Greek Macedonian. Nobility in the successor kingdoms of Alexander the Great in which Cleopatra was a fairly common name. There were many Queen Cleopatras in Egypt and elsewhere. Cleopatra's mother fof instance was also a queen called Cleopatra. Queen Cleopatra also had a daughter who went on to be Queen of numidia. There were also a whole load of Queen Cleopatras such Queen of Pontus, Cleopatra Queen of macedon sister of Alexander the great. Queen Cleopatra of Jerusalem was married to King Herod the great who lived around the same time as Queen Cleopatra of Egypt.

Remember, they made a series about an actual historical figure that was a Viking and the part went to a black woman. Cleopatra was Macedonian - that's an area in the Balkans just north of Greece - what we would today call Eastern European. Typically, that would mean a slightly olive-toned white person.

Netflix is intentionally blackwashing Cleopatra in their mockumentary - along with many other historical inaccuracies - because the producers goal is to push the Woke agenda, not to depict history. Egypt is actually suing Netflix and the production company for racism against Egyptians, which really speaks volumes about how warped the producers are.

They were more middle eastern. There's plenty of art dating back 6000 years, and none of it depicts Egyptians as black - though there are depictions of black Ethiopians, which makes complete sense given the proximity of Ethiopia.
