Well I mean, in the UK, 2020 was the 8th deadliest year in the past 20 once figures had been age and population adjusted. Is that a conspiracy? It was reported in the mainstream media.

And at the moment, Finland apparently has a much higher per capita death rate in 2022 than the UK had in 2020. I presume no one's going around Finland shitting themselves at the moment because it seems to be deadlier there than the height of the pandemic. The same applies to many other European countries.

Statistically, there just wasn't a pandemic in the UK. It was just like a bad flu year. And bear in mind we allegedly mismanaged it the most. Many of the deaths were the result of sheer incompetence from the UK, including about 40000 deaths from releasing elderly back into their care homes to die (effectively euthanising them). Plus, one must factor in intangible deaths ie a loss of hope, polluting people with fear, having them rot at home. This in itself can tip the vulnerable and frail over the edge. So many anecdotes have I heard about child development being stunted (and this is also born out in the statistics). And elderly relatives being tormented with fear. Many of them died or will never be the same.

But again, keep peddling your fear and nonsense.

It was a pandemic of fear and individual weakness. There is no logic in having 'responsibility to others' in doing something that is dangerous and harmful to yourself. In any case, the measures advised and imposed were moronic, irrational, short-sighted and unscientific.

I agree with some of the things you've said here, like how badly mismanaged the whole thing was from start to finish (lockdowns were a stupid idea), but my point about people becoming evermore paranoid is something I'll stand by, because from my perspective at least it's real enough, and it worries me a lot.

You can just as easily kill a large group of people with a car or knife. Switzerland has the highest percentage of people with mental illness on the planet, yet at the same time gun ownership is actually mandatory for the most part, yet they don't have mass shootings. I genuinely believe it's more of a cultural thing. I heard this Samoan gangster complain that they had to get guns, because the pussy gangsters in America didn't wanna fist fight, they just wanted to shoot you. So while gun laws do play a role it's a cultural thing as well. Australia and New Zealand are islands so it's much easier to stop the flow of illegal firearms.
Personally, just between you and me, I think having a gun for recreation is stupid and unnecessary. Personally, if it was up to me, I would put a ban on recreational shooting and hunting with guns.

Yes... and no. It's true that cultural factors come into play, and it's also true that with Australia and New Zealand being so isolated, it's easier to control the "borders". I don't know what the situation is in Switzerland, never been there.
However, I do know this. All other considerations being ignored, you have to admit that a guy with a gun is able to more effectively kill more people in a shorter amount of time, than someone with just a knife. Guns were specifically designed to kill people. Knives are at least useful tools most of the time (like in the kitchen).

I agree with your take on the corona virus vaccinations, even though I may not have a severe case, I prefer to be vaccinated and hopefully stop the cycle, so I don't spread it to people who may have conditions that could.

I would not want to be responsible for the death of anyone if I can prevent it. To me that would be callous and border line sociopathic behavior.
