If the FCC lifted its ban on profanity, would you continue watching t. v. or refuse to watch it, anymore?

In order to continue watching your fave shows, you now have to put up with the regular use of at least George Carlin's "7 words you can never say on t. v.", if not plenty of others.

I have not watched TV regularly in almost a decade... nothing to do with profanity

just the fact that there's so many commercials and now you even have commercials within the TV shows themselves

particularly in some sports... they even have commercials announced by commentators within the plays... FTW... lol

80 or 90 years ago commercials were ALWAYS written into the radio shows. Same with t. v., when it first started.

you just reminded of the good old day in which I would record songs into cassettes from the radio as a kid... lmfao

and they would often ruin it!! with their nonsense interruptions of such a great song...

I know. I hated that, too.
The only good one I ever heard was when they were playing "Sister Mary Elephant" and, near the end, when she starts talking about grass, the DJ quietly adds in, "Hey, guys, she said, "grass"! Wake up guys, she's talking about grass!"

I DVR all the shows I like to watch and fast forward through all the commercials. I usually watch an hour show in 40 minutes.

@exitseven I have all my faves on DVD so, there ARE NO commercials but, even if I record the DVD's myself from t. v., I cut out the commercials. One thing about it that, without the spots, it shows how INCREDIBLY many they force you to watch!! When "Columbo" first aired, each episode ran about 2 hours, as far as I know. Now that I have the DVD's, each of the early episodes only run about an hour and 8:00!! So, for a 2 hour show, they shoved at least 52:00 of commercials down your throat!! INSANE!!

Sometimes I can't believe some of the language I hear on TV. Even Network TV has gotten too vulgar. I watch MeTV a lot.
