That was most disgustingly biased moderated debate I had ever seen in my entire life. Trump was literally debating three democrats. The questions were 3 to 1 anti-trump. Trump’s mic was muted for at least 2 seconds when it was his turn to respond. Trump was grilled and fact checked over and over. Kamala wasn’t fact checked once (and she DID lie).
With all that said Trump did put on a poor performance last evening and I openly admit that as a conservative. He was getting angry and frustrated with how extremely unfair the debate was setup. So he was going off on the defensive. He also let Kamala get under his skin and was taking the bait in response to her questions.
Anyway me admitting that Trump lost that debate does not change my opinion of Kamala Harris at all. Trump is exactly right about how horrible her policies would be for our country especially her economic policies.
But I remember when Trump debated Biden several liberals were trying to claim that “Biden won” and kept making excuses for him which was so insanely ridiculous my stomach hurt from laughing. Again I can admit Trump lost that debate and STILL plan to vote for him.
Anyway I also noticed that Kamala never acted surprised with any of the questions she was asked. Even the really difficult ones.
Sure she got a bunch of softball questions and full support of the moderators. But still not once did she appear caught of guard by a difficult question. I wouldn’t be surprised if a future whistleblower claims that Kamala was leaked the debate questions in advance. Considering how insanely anti Trump ABC was it wouldn’t surprise me. She looked way too comfortable.

The only fact check against Harris was that there was only one study that found what she claimed, others put the cost of Trump's policies as low as $1,350 a year on a middle class family. Nobody doubts there will be costs.
I think he flubbed it on purpose, honestly. He knew he had a chance against Biden but not against Harris, so he decided to purposely provoke responses that he could use to make himself out to be the victim to his loyalists. The one "falsehood" CNN could find with anything Harris said in the debate was that only one study agreed with her claim that Trump's policies would cost a middle class family around $4000 a year was that only one study said that ($3,900), others estimated as low as $1350 (given different versions of his policies and different assumptions). The truth is still that his policies will cost people thousands.
Trump had at least 33 falsehoods, including inflating the number of immigrants by a couple of orders of magnitude. His “21 million people” crossing the border monthly would have doubled the population in less than a year. That's insane.
The problem with fact checkers is when they miss the point of their jobs and bend over backwards to have something bad to say about both sides, which can lead to perceived equivalence between "he said $15 and it's really $35" (about a price cap that really was an achievement and saves diabetics a lot of money) and "immigrants are coming for your kittens!" (which is completely made up).
