When I was in school the biggest problem was the bullying and that had more to do with badly raised kids and teachers who didn't care. Litteracy and mathematical ability was low. Assault was fairly common, I'm not talking about two people scrapping, I'm talking about get knocked to the ground from behind and kicked on the ground by a group. Girls were just as bad. There were stabbings outside. Grooming gangs waiting. When I moved schools a girl that I'd been friends with hung herself.
