What is the best way to react when you see a crossdresser out in public?

I'd see them as I would any other person, probably with a slightly additional amount of interest, without making myself a nuisance to them or to others.

I might take note of their style, as I might of anyone else, with an eye to critique, admire, or to file away in my memory to incorporate in my own personal style at a later time.

I have my own style of dress when attired casually, which I no longer call crossdressing. I maintain a masculine persona when doing so. I am a man. I dress to be comfortable and to please myself. I wear short skirts, cut for a man's body, in denim or cargo styles, usually coupled with a nice tank top in warm weather. They highlight what I think are a pair of nicely shaped smooth-shaven legs and body.

Sometimes if I'm feeling particularly good about myself, I like to wear a bit of mascara, eye shadow, eyeliner, and sometimes fingernail and toenail colors, those being displayed in men's sandals. I will say that the makeup can be a bit of a pain sometimes. It's very easy to go from a bit of highlighting to being garish. A little bit of mascara can be the best thing for me to use at times. Mascara doesn't take a lot of skill in applying as does eye shadow. I'm not sure why I like doing so and I no longer care about the "why". My username here is "nolabels". I try to carry that motto into my everyday life.

When I dress as such, it seems to not be noticed much by others.

I've yet to experience hate or violence when so attired.

To restate, I am a man. I carry and present myself as nothing other than a man. I present with no flamboyancy, not that there would anything wrong with doing so. That's just not me. I'm just another guy.

It was a little scary for me the first few times I went into public so dressed. I needn't have worried about it. People seem to be more concerned with themselves than with how I'm dressed.

The more I think about it, the preconceived notions that "society" has regarding dress would be humorous if they weren't so stultifying.

Fashion has changed back and forth so many times over the centuries that it could almost be said that everyone has tried everything under the sun, to dress to make themselves look and feel good about themselves and be attractive to others.

Take a look at male birds. They're the "hot" ones in their animal category.

I have noticed that some women are especially friendly towards me during casual encounters when I'm so attired, in stores, or wherever one may engage in social interactions. Maybe that's just because I'm feeling good about myself and that translates into their being more friendly towards me.
