Many other presidents take documents with them. Obama took thousands of boxes. It is expected. Democrats are so worried that Trump will win the next election they are doing everything possible to stop him. As President Trump pointed out during the CNN townhall he declassified everything as was his right as president. This is really a non issue but the press couldn't help spreading all the top secret documents all over the floor and take pictures of them. They thought this would put a stop to his presidential run until Joe Biden was found to be in possession of top secret documents that were NOT declassified because Jow Was not president then. Not only that but they were not locked up in a closet like Trump had. They were in his garage next to the corvette and his crackhead son had full access to these.

I am appalled at how multiple high l level officials have been so cavalier about top secret documents. I know people who work with secret information and they have to go to enormous effort to keep it secure. The idea that our elected officials can just ignore those rules when they want is offensive to me. Peoples lives depend on that information being kept secret.

I understand your point. Here's my thinking on it and this is obviously my opinion. The slow walking is an opinion based on what? It's what the GOP says so? That is politically in their benefit. We don't know how the investigation is going or how long it will take. I would imagine they want to absolutely ensure they have evidence. So slow walking is the GOP version but the FBI can give two shits about the democrats or republican agenda. They can't be bullied by a politician. Their job is to investigate. The republican committee continuing to look into it doesn't automatically grant them the right to the entire investigation from the FBI until while it's an active investigation.

So yeah who knows if that's a slow walk or they literally don't have enough evidence either way. They don't care about who's president.

The FBI is the one agency that can invade and investigate the Whitehouse. Just because theoretically anyone can be corrupted doesn't mean they all are. You can feel that way but it doesn't mean it's a given. If they find Biden did something bad and swept in then all of a sudden they're great. If they don't they're paid off? It's never an option that they are doing their jobs and found nothing. Lol.
